Jojo Rabbit (2019)
Perfect
Funny, sad, emotional. Makes fun of the Nazi ideals, sometimes overtly, other times in a subtle way. Little Easter eggs throughout, such as the way Hitler's uniform changes, or the homosexual tendencies of the German characters.
I've watched this several times now and love it.
Vanilla Sky (2001)
Great cast, awesome soundtrack, immersive storyline
A lot of people dont like this film. And im not sure why.
At the time of its release, it was one of the original mainstream storylines to be released.
It kept you guessing during watching it.
You get fantastic shots of New York, a feel for upper class lifestyle, amazing autumnal shots.
The soundtrack is amazing, going from dance music to Bob Dillon.
Cameron Diaz plays the crazy jilted lover perfectly, and the crash really comes out of the blue.
Penelope is a true beauty, and Tom Cruise, as always, plays his part brilliantly. At times you feel really sorry for him, and other times hes a rich, selfish guy that gets your back up.
At the end of the film i felt emotionally drained - upset that he hadnt ended up with Sofia, happy that he chooses to live a real life. I wanted to see more, see how his real life was.
All i can say is i have watched this film several times over the years and every time i love it.
Silent Witness: Beyond Guilt: Part 1 (2003)
Great series but Sam Ryan is irritating
I love Silent Witness. I've watched all of them over the years, and gone back to rewatch them from the start on iplayer.
But I mist say that I'm happy when Sam Ryan leaves in series 8.
By this particular episode, series 7 Beyond Guilt, Sam is really obnoxious. She's argumentative and a know it all.
Over the previous series she gets things wrong and doesn't admit it. And her immediate arguments with any police officers in charge of the case is a tiresome character trait.
Thankfully when she leaves in series 8 we then get Nicky along with Tom and Leo. Those episodes are the best.
Cats (2019)
Worst Film Ever
We tried to watch this with our 3 children, 11, 9 and 7.
We lasted 10 minutes.
Absolutely horrendous. I mean, imagine the worst film you have ever seen and then make it worse by 100%
That's this film. I honestly thought I was having a stroke and was passing to the other side.
DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
The Hustle (2019)
A very bad remake
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a classic. Genius. This film however is terrible. They've taken scenes and even lines from the original rather than trying to come up with their own jokes. It's not funny....at all.
Trauma (2018)
Irritating
I found the father to be irritating. There's no way you can feel anything for him or the family really because it's overshadowed by actions that no one would ever take.
I understand that emotions run high but I think it's unrealistic and over the top.
I couldn't take the program seriously and got more and more frustrated at the father.
