Lynch: A History (2019)
Entertaining but...
Wasn't really what you'd expect to see in the form of a documentary showing Marshawns life. Not really sure what they were trying to say actually but it seemed to be a whole lot of "poor me, I'm a black athlete and I'm being exploited.". So they make out that Marshawns preference for silence is some kind of noble fight against being exploited. Forget that without promotion and without fans, these highly rewarded athletes would just be another face in the crowd. It's almost a display of contempt for the people that make them what they are. Politics aside, it is chock full of clips of Marshawn making great plays. And in defense of the film maker, if you're making a film about Marshawn, there's no getting around the fact that politics and race issues come with the territory. It was still entertaining.
The Curse (2023)
The ending was like flipping the channel to a different show
If you like endings that make absolutely no sense and have nothing to do with the previous 9 hrs you invested in the show, then by all means. It was like watching 9 episodes of a show, then on the 10th and final episode, you change the channel and watch an entirely different show. Completely unrelated. There wasn't even anything artistic or metaphorical you could make out. It made the entire show completely meaningless. Oh sure, you'll get some artistic posers on here that will pretend it meant something. That's why you only see 9 or 10 stars rated or 1 or 2 stars. Trust me. Ignore the art posers. It was one or two stars. The acting was good. But if the script is garbage, good acting doesn't mean much. Consider yourself warned. If you've got ten hrs to waste, lucky you.
