Oppenheimer (I) (2023)
Severely overhyped
27 July 2023
I align with other reviewers here who have found this. Despite the hype surrounding it, Oppenheimer fell short of expectations. The film proved to be tedious and at many times draining to watch.

I liked the cinematography but the beautiful scenes had an overwhelmingly loud background score that drowned out most of the dialogue and made it hard to comprehend what was going on.

The movie also had several disjointed scene transitions which in my opinion, because of lack of character development and loud background music, only added to the confusion, making it hard to follow the plot coherently. Overall, a disappointing experience that failed to live up to its hype.

Ahir Shah: Dots (2021 TV Special)
Boring and uninteresting
25 October 2021
Yet another comedian who thinks making jokes about genitalia would make it cheesy. The standup has no flow in it. The only reason I watched this was in hope of finding a fresh face in standup but unfortunately it was disappointing. He picks up the right ideas but kind of leads to nowhere. The whole Mexican trip was way too stretched and really lacked even smirks let alone laughable jokes. Lib dems? No one knows? Then why are you talking about it? Is this supposed to be infotainment? Thirty minutes into the show, there were multiple times he tries to throw statements which make no sense, and laughs himself to make it sound funny when it really isn't. He touches on heavy topics involving politics and religion, but his attempts at making jokes end abruptly kind of leading to nowhere. The delivery is average and could be certainly better. Overall, I would not recommend this standup to anyone.

Not for the light hearted

A very harrowing event. Movie has a nice depiction, storyline and grabs your attention till the very last second. A tragic event and I like how subtly they've tried to show it.

On the spot - don't read the negative reviews by corporate

I recently saw my dad going through a cardiac surgery. A year prior to the surgery, all blood tests came completely fine. And then a year later, doctors say they're seeing severe blockage and calcification and they can't get by putting stents (which is another billion dollar industry - it's like putting band-aides over gunshot wounds!) and they had to a triple bypass. Luckily, one of our cousins was on the management board of the hospital chain. The doctor gave us one advice - stay away from dairy. Our body is one complex system, and putting unnecessary stuff in it like meat and dairy - which our body can't digest - is like like committing arson and then whining about the consequences.

The documentary highlights a problem that explains why there are so many more people dying of cancer and diabetes in the US than say in India. And why there are so many people dying of heart disease around the globe. It's not genetic!
