Late Bloomer (2024)
Not funny. At all.
Generic, corny storylines that have been done many times. The funniest character is the dimwit but he doesn't hold a candle to Chabuddy G. There is this white guy who's Indian/Sikh? He embodies the show. Trying so hard to not try hard.
The show also looks terrible in Crave 720p.
The other reviews even admit the show isn't that good but gave a "10/10." "It has its moments but falls short a few times, too."
Despite admitting the shortcomings, the reviewer still gave a 10/10. How can we expect our community to perform as well as everyone else when we aren't holding our creators to the same level?
The show is a major skip. Boring, mundane, self-obsessed, and, politically and intellectually dishonest.
Hey Arnold! (1996)
Masterpiece
Everyone remembers the Christmas special but other stellar episodes include the episode where Harold and Patty start dating, Romeo and juliet, the war stories, etc. From season 1 to season 5, the show is entertaining, beautifully animated, and heartwarmingly emotional. One of the finest cartoons ever made!
The Mitchells vs the Machines (2021)
This is how good I expected Soul to be!
Excellent film. Creative but beautiful animation and ingenious and relevant concept. Fun and great family watch. Will be watching many times!
Joshua and the Promised Land (2003)
This movie gave me an ulcer
Well, it happened at the same time and it's pretty sure it's related
Holidate (2020)
If you want to lose brain cells, this is a must watch!
Clichéd, cheesy, but I guess it's okay.
Follows all of the holiday romantic comedy tropes while still managing to get a few laughs. Overall, the biggest problem with this movie is the fact that it is BORING. Nothing overly exciting or interesting happens in the drama feels manufactured. This could have been overcome with better dialogue and cast direction.
Wizards (2020)
SO GOOD! Guillermo del Toro is an absolute genius!
Probably the best retelling of the Merlin medieval story. Definitely the most fast-paced of the entire series. If I had to choose, Defenders would edge it out as the best of the trilogy, but it is very close. If wizard's had 3 seasons, it could potentially be the best.
3Below: Tales of Arcadia (2018)
The weakest of the trilogy, but still a 9/10!
The trilogy is the second best "kids" show after Avatar the Last Airbender. From the animation to the characters to the world building to the plot, everything about the show is exciting, thought-provoking, and extremely entertaining.
There are so many little details that require multiple viewings to truly appreciate, and this is definitely a trilogy I will be be watching over the years. 3Below falls short compared to Wizards and Defenders mainly because of its lack of character development and because the villain seems like much less of a threat.
That being said, it is still an extremely watchable show with plenty of laughs and creative animation.
Trollhunters (2016)

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018)
Excellent show with strong female characters and LGBTQ and POC representation!
Although the show has a diverse cast, it is never preachy nor does it talk down to its audience. Instead, it relies on relatable and interesting characters and a fast-moving plot to instill valuable lessons in its audience.
The only shortcomings are the villains, whose motivations and powers are not well explained and too much of a heavy reliance on deus ex machina plot resolutions. For example, many episodic plots/arcs will end in the last 2 minutes of the episode due to some never-before-discussed bug in the enemy's technology or an overpowered character will show up out of nowhere to save the day.
Despite my critiques, I consider She-Ra to be the second-best DreamWorks original series after the Troll Hunters trilogy. Stellar animation, excellent world building, awesome characters, and great writing.
