The Da Vinci Code (2006)
Totally LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This movie really messes with your head (in a good way). I'm a backward person so now that i've seen the movie i'll read the book to compare, lol. Don't ask me why but this is how I am. I highly recommend this to everyone to see, it will make you think a lot which is good. For once, a movie that is food for the brain to question and crave more, not just spectacle's of "ooh's and ahh's" to tickle the brain and leave it mildly satisfied. It was worth the theater tickets, and it's worth the rental too. If I had more than 2 thumbs i'd put them all up for this one, of course I wouldn't really care for the aftermath of being looked at like i'm part of a freak show, LOL.
Catwalk (1992)
This show rocked!
I loved this show and never missed an episode when I was younger. I so wish YTV would re-air it or that it would come out on DVD sometime. I would totally buy it and probably get it as gifts for a couple friends of mine.
Neve Campbell was young fresh and new, and this was where I first saw her act way before her debut to the real Hollywood screen in the 'Scream' movies.
Someone who I see often up in Brampton is the guy who played the character of Atlas. He's always at this grocery store picking up stuff in the area near where one of my friends lives. It's always a cool reminder to me of the show. I also see the guy who owned the club the band played in, and the guy who played Billy K once in a while downtown T.O.
Man I miss this show, lol.
La révolution française (1989)
Fantastic!!!
I totally HATE history, yet this movie made me actually admire the idea behind learning about history. I got into it so much that I wanted to learn more about other historical events at one point.
The funny thing was, we were forced to watch it french class when I was in grade 9 and I was the only one who really paid attention it seems. Not too many people were feeling the story I guess, but again to have the tiniest interest in history is what's needed to get through this one.
Yes it's super long but the acting is fantastic. It was filmed quite well, and I gotta say has it's bloody points too! It's got some tame gory parts to it (the guillotine), and when people get gunned down etc etc. Overall a great movie that I think everyone should check out!
The Nesting (1981)
It was cute
Well i've seen this movie a couple times and I have a copy of it on DVD that I transfered from VHS last time I rented it. This is one of those classic horror movies from back in the day when horror movies actually did make you jump, and they made sense! LOL The plot took me for a spin and it was a little confusing at times, but i've figured it out after the second time seeing it.
I with they made movies like this still that had odd story lines to make you think, and that didn't always rely on today's technology to make it all about the special fx.
This movie was cool though, definitely worth the watch!
Omen IV: The Awakening (1991)
OMG....So many thumbs down!
Well since seeing part's 1 through 3 I can honestly say that they should have NEVER made part 4. Everything from the tacky, and I DO mean tacky score to the really bad acting, I dare anyone to watch this and not be bored out of their minds.
I mean parts 1 to 3 kept the vibe strong on the plot of Damion, but without him around in this one it's just not the same. Sure by the end of part 3 I was getting a little tired of the continued story line's, but it was a good closure at the end of the third one. Again there was no reason for a part 4. Even if there was they could have done a MUCH better job than this sh*t I had to sit through, lol. There goes an hour and a half of my life i'll never see again.
