Race 3 (2018)
I knew it already. This film is just bad.
So Race 3 hits the theaters and I went to see it. What I would say is that this movie is just a waste from scene to scene. Remo D'Souza did a very very bad job making this film. This film didn't even had a good story but in fact it was incredibly bad. At least Flying Jatt was a little bit better than this one but the direction stays the same for these films. Salman Khan's acting was so bad that you will not believe that he'll do this type of acting. Jacqueline was totally not needed in this movie and so is the other actors and actresses like Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. The only good thing about this movie was Anil Kapoor as how his character was more focused than anyone elses. Let's talk about the action in this movie. The action was very bad because it won't look as realistic as how Race 2's action sequences was. But then again it was also pointless. Also I think that this is one of the worst films of Salman Khan. And I also don't get why he would do these types of films.
Anyways I would give this movie a 4/10 because I think that this movie showed that it is going to be bad from the trailer and the then movie itself was very bad compared to the trailer.
Love, Simon (2018)
This movie is different than you think it is
Love, Simon for me has to be a very decent movie but I would say that this not a good movie but in fact it's a decent film for the most part. Simon's character I think had a lot of focus to it as he kept chatting with this guy on the internet. He finds out that the person he's chatting to is also gay like him. He begins sharing his personal thoughts about who he is and what he wants to do. At this point I kind of got an idea that this movie does not really care about anything that is going on but it will just give you pointless scenes that don't have connection to with the movie itself.
I would give this a 5/10 because I think that this movie didn't do what I expected it to be. But that's just my own opinion on the movie.
Sanju (2018)
Ranbir Kapoor back as an phenomenal actor
After all the wait. I finally get to see this movie up on the big screen. What I would say is that this movie is incredibly good. It gave us most of it that we all wanted to see. Ranbir Kapoor's acting is brilliant, his role playing Sanju was absolutely perfect for him to do. Sanju's friend was also one of the best things about his film because Vicky Kaushal as Sanju's best friend truly nailed his performance. For me I think that these two actors were good on screen, especially that last moment where Sanju gets out of prison and meets his friend. Other actors like Paresh Rawal was also so good as he was playing Sanjay Dutt's father. I think that he was just too good as he was on screen. If I look at the editing I would say that you really have to pay attention for the most part because this movie doesn't go from start to finish. It goes back and forth for the most part and it kind of mix things up a little bit too. But other things was the first half of the film focuses more about drugs and how Sanju struggles to battles it. The second half focuses more on Sanju going to prison and how Sanju starts making good films for his own career. This film has given more depth into the character and everything around him as how the film progresses and it really makes us feel that this everything we saw about the true Sanjay Dutt.
I would say that this movie was absolutely brilliant and how it was one of the best films in 2018 so far. I would give this movie an 8/10. Again like I said this movie has given us a in depth story of Sanjay Dutt's life. So I hope you have all enjoyed my review on the film.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
This was a good movie but there's some stuff missing.
So Avengers: Infinity War finally arrived in theaters and I went to see it after a long wait for this one. And I cannot believe what I just saw. The ending will make you think to yourself did this really happen. Every character on its own has its surprising role to it.
Before I start, I want to say that this a spoiler review. So if you haven't seen it I want you to see the movie for yourself and then comeback and visit the review. So starting off we left off where Thor: Ragnarok finished with end credits scene. First of all Thanos attacks the spaceship and also Thor and Loki are there too and Loki decides to bring Hulk to fight him off. I thought that this is the best opening a film can get. Thanos then decides to send him to earth. But he also attempts to kill Loki. Moving on I was surprised the fact he died right off the beginning of the film as it was predictable too. We cut Doctor Strange, Tony, Wong and Banner discussing about Thanos coming to destroy half of the humanity. This scene was okay but the best part was about Tony wanting to call Steve but he realizes somethings wrong and he leaves. So after that the big battle happens in New York and we also see the 5 heroes in action including Spider-Man. So Peter arrives to help out Tony but they decide to pay a visit inside the spaceship. So far the movie was going good until the part where they introduce the Guardians. I thought that was too much added. It felt like a 10 minute scene which was really not needed. Later on some good action sequences happen and we see Captain America making a appearance stepping out of the dark. Steve, Romanoff and Sam are there to help Vision and Wanda. I don't get why Steve needed to help them because both Vision and Wanda are very strong. So lets talk about the action in this. The action has a very good feel to it as the battle of Wakanda happen and where half of the Avengers are in space. We see the transition between Space and Wakanda during those fight scenes. This movie also has a lot of CGI which I don't think it needed that much. So let's talk about the best thing about this movie and that was Thor's arrival in Wakanda everyone cheered so much at my theater and it was just so awesome to see. The battle was clearly the best. But one thing that was disappointing was some of the shots and scenes from the trailers that don't make it in the movie. I remember a few of them in fact there was a deleted scene of Thor getting his hammer which didn't make it into the movie so that was quite bad. We also didn't get to see Hulk in action but in fact we saw him in Tony's Hulkbuster armor the whole time. So it was very weird how the trailers show Hulk as usual but the movie is very different from the trailers. Though we never see Cap and Tony meeting each other in the movie as to they have their own duty to do. The main thing is the ending. The ending was out of place for a bit but then we clearly get to see the snap from what Gamora said that "He could do it with snap of his fingers" and that's what this is about as he destroys half of the humanity. And the only survivors we get were the main original avengers. To me this was kind of disappointing as to one of the main Avengers should die like Iron Man which he didn't. I thought that Iron Man or Cap would've died in the movie but that did not happen. But I think that the movie was good accept the two characters did not show up in this movie like Hawkeye and Ant-Man. The end credits was really not needed and it was one of the worst end credit scenes that I've seen in this movie and that was Nick Fury and Maria Hill just making an appearance near the end of the film and this was just bad. Later we see that Captain Marvel reference. Overall this movie was a good movie accept some of the character performances were bad like Star-Lord was just so bad in this film and also some characters like Wanda. Overall I would give Avengers: Infinity War a 7/10. I though think that this movie might get an extended cut because this movie was 2hr 30m. And I still think an extended cut will fill in the gaps by making it a 2hr 36m movie. So I hope you have enjoyed this review and that's just my opinion on the movie.
Justice League (2017)
Fun and good, But it could have been better
So Justice League has finally arrived in theaters and I have seen it up on the big screen and I have to say first of all is this isn't a Zack Snyder movie, it didn't felt like it at some points throughout the movie, more like Joss Whedon with the reshoots. The reshoots kind of let people down in this movie thinking that Zack would've done much better than Whedon did to finish it off. I liked the first 2 trailers shown and I also did enjoy the 4 minute trailer, but the thing is most of the scenes that you see in the trailer aren't even in the movie almost like 50% of the shots and the scenes from the trailer don't make it in the movie. And most of the people are yet waiting for the extended cut which I think will be around 2 hours and 20 minutes thought so. But you'll realize after you watched the film, that most of the shots and scenes aren't in the movie. From what I think this isn't Joss Whedon's fault but in fact it's WB's because they wanted it to be under 2 hours, if you take out the credits its basically 1 hour and 50 minutes. With credits it is 2 hours and 1 minute.
So let's get straight in the review WARNING this is a spoiler review so if you haven't seen it don't read this review, if you have you may proceed to read this. So starting at the beginning of the scene I was a little bit confused whether or not they've should've added Superman or not. I wanted him to have the first appearance after. So you then get to see Batman doing this brutal crime fighting and witnesses a parademon and thinks that they are coming. And then you get this song about world without Superman which didn't even needed to be in the movie. So you get to see the WW fight and then switch to Ben Affleck's Bruce recruiting Aquaman and this is were it starts to get a little off. So this whole sequence is like for 5 minutes it could've been better if it was like 10 minutes. Without that out of the way you get Steppenwolf's introduction which I think could've been better if it was the opening scene of the movie, and I like how he goes to Themyscira and quickly acquires the first motherbox I think that it was excellent. So let's talk about Superman's return in this movie, his return is very different than most of the people thought that it would be. He returns by this spaceship of his own and he clearly becomes evil and doesn't know what he's become or none of that. We do get this good line which he says to Batman "Tell me... Do you Bleed" I think that was awesome. So Lois arrives and he gets his memories back by going to the Kent farm and meeting her mother which she becomes so happy after she see's Clark. Action in this movie is good and it is on a high standard I liked how they first go to this tunnel thing and fight those parademons and also the main villain Steppenwolf. WW has so many scenes. Aquaman to me has a lower amount of screen time. The Flash has one of the average jokes and trust me he also has one of the best jokes too. Batman is brutal and menacing throughout the movie and also happy of Superman's return too as of all the Justice League. Cyborg is the most amazing thing about the movie I liked how he was introduced and became more of a superhero than anyone else. So yeah that's what it is. Steppenwolf I think he could've been a better villain than just a CGI looking villain, though I liked how he mentioned Darkseid which was damn awesome. Superman was also one the best things about the movie it was a total surprise but I wished his return was way better than just reviving him with a motherbox. And also it wasn't good how he didn't had a Black suit which I think Joss probably said no to it.
Overall I would give this a 8/10 it is a better movie I would say it could've had been a better movie if the scenes and shots from the trailers been in the movie. So anyways hope you've all enjoyed my review and that's just my own opinion on the film.
A Gentleman (2017)
It's a movie which you don't really know what scene is going to be up next
First of all this movie's direction is really choppy with how it completely changes and you don't actually get to know what scene is going to be up after and it transitions between Gaurav and Rishi every time. This movie would've been better if they start of with Gaurav and then slowly move on the action part with Rishi because I think that would've been better rather than shifting to Mumbai and then Miami all the time. The action is good to watch and it has a good comedy by Dixit. Siddharth's character was also good by playing both roles. Jacqueline is still the same with her previous films. And overall I think the audiences are going to like it but the critics are going to hate it, the fact how it's super quick and fast. So I do think people need to watch this film because it is new and the fact that films like this aren't too many in Bollywood but I can remember a film which was Bang Bang, which it also says that A Gentleman is a sequel to Bang Bang. Anyways I hope this movie does good in the box office.
Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017)
What a disappointment
This movie was a huge let down. First of all it was setting its way and it failed big time. Most likely the worst SRK film I've seen. Anushka's acting was good, Shah Rukh's acting was a bit out of place but I can indeed tell that this type of acting was hard for him to do. This movie overall didn't just went good.
The story was so bad that they just needed to focus on the ring. This movie should've easily been a 2 hour film instead of having it 2hr 40m which is a lot of stuff that didn't need to be in this film. So yeah I do think this is a very bad film it's not really bad but its just bad. Even Dear Zindagi was way better.
Although I do think that this movie is going to be okay in the box office and it will be okay for some audiences but mostly people will say that it is indeed a bad film.
Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
What Did I Just Saw
This movie's clearly out of place, you could say that this movie sucked. The trailers looked amazing but the movie on the other hand is so so so bad. I actually liked "Age of Extinction" more than this one because with this Transformer movie they changed a whole lot. Optimus is evil and well as the story moves on from its place it is predictable of what is going to happen next. Bumblebee is Bumblebee. Also you could enjoy Mark Wahlberg's performance in this movie because he is okay than the other boring side characters. People are going to hate this movie because it clearly doesn't explain you the stuff the characters are wanting. Action is OK, I liked the Optimus vs Bumblebee fight because that's the only good thing in the movie but the rest sucks. People are going to complain just saying. Hope the next Transformers movie will do good.
