Caddyshack II (1988)
Not a hole in one
If you had to choose this to either be A) The worst movie of the 80s. B) The worst sequel. C) Worst sport movie or D) All the above. I choose D. I saw Caddyshack a year before I saw The first one, and that was back in 1992 when ABC decided to air this movie as part of their Saterday night movie night. To be honest here. This movie is not good as any of the movies that came out in 1988. The only good one I seen that year was Willow. The main problem was that it did not compare to the first. The cast in this one did not have same type of cemenstry that the cast in the first one had. First of all they replaced a red head Michael O Keef w a dark hair cool new comer Johathan Silverman, then they Replace Bill Murray who save the first one w another Ghost Buster Dan Aykoyd, then they replace Roddney Dangerfeld w an obnoxious Jackie Mason. And then Harold Ramis decides to give Allen Arkush the directing job and has not directed another movie since this one. The rest of this film was just slow and dry. Just remember that this was one of the first movie that Warner Brother put a new thing called DVD. The DVD cost $5.00 at Walmart and there no special feather. Just the movie in full screen along w chapter names.
Food for thought. If its a nice and sunny day and its 70 degrees outside. Instead of spending $5.00 or or watching this movie. Why not go out the country club and treat you and your friends to a nice game of gold. Or if its a nice and sunny Sunday afternoon. Take the family to the miniature golf course and play a nice round of miniature golf
Nothing But Trouble (1991)
A mind is a terrible thing to waste on this one if you watch it
This is Dan Aykroyd and John candy 4th movie together. First they were in 1941, then Blues Brother which happened to be one of my favorite and I give that one a 10 star rating, then The Great outdoors and then this. Chevy Chase play a guy named Chis who happened to be a very nice guy who one night while waiting outside of a New Jersy hotel and meets a very nice and pretty girl played by Demi Moore. They meet up, have a very nice and classy dinner and go and have a relaxing time in his room. The next morning the both decide to take a nice trip and also take along 2 yuppy couples who are also a bunch of wyners. The 4 of them leave the hotel and end up getting on the The turn pike to New Jersey and the next thing you know they end up taking a wrong turn and end up in this tiny creepy dry ghost town call Valkrey. Think of this as National Lampoons Vacation meets Beetlejuice. After they enter the town. They get pulled over by a police officer named Dennis played by John Candy. In 1991 John Candy play a cop in 2 movies. This and Only the loney which was way better then this. So officer Dennis decides to take the 4 of them to a creepy haunted mansion and they meet this like 180 year old judge named Alvin who is also a very creepy guy and if you didn't know that his nose is supposed to look like a human penis. He decides to sentence the 4 of them to spends theirs lives in the basement of the mansion. Everything in this movie is weird, disgusting and has no point of view. The rest of this movie about trying to escape which you should be doing from watching this movie. Candy also play Dennis overweight sister who does not talk in this movie. akyrod also plays this big fat baby named Humpy who is knda like Baby Huey.
Food for thought: I happened to have a very good taste in movies. This movie is not for those who have a smart taste in movies like Gone w the wind or E.T. This movies is for especitaly for teenage boys who enjoy insulting people, even teenage e girls and has a dirty mind like using fart jokes.
Dead Presidents (1995)
Great cast in a very intense movie w a grammy worthy soundtrack
The first time I heard about this movie was when I was reading this in a magazine in spring of 1995 and I was 15 years old at that time, Which had a photo of actor Lawance with his face painted white w black lips which was the famous trade mark of this film. it was also used another movie called Half Baked. But I did barrow this movie from the local library 4 years later when it was on video. Dvds weren't popular yet until the next year. What can I say about this film. The cast was great, Same with the acting. But the violence in this film was intense. After you watch this movie for the first time, you can tell that this movie is not for everyone. Maybe for those who come from a tough nabor gang. Nc-17 was the original rating for this film. But I don't think that the violent, the langued and the drug used weren't closed enough for this film. But if you want to watch a better drama with a black cast in it. Do the right thing is the best one. Now the best and only thing about this film is the movie soundtrack. The soundtrack has the best 1970s Smooth soul hits from such great soul artist like Arthia Franklin, Curtis Mayfeld, Al Green, The O Jays, Issic Hays and Many more.
