The only con this movie has is... They didn't pout all of DC's funds into it! All of the funds! This movie deserves it.
First things first, I want to praise this movie for the brave approach they took. For not being scared of showing more violent things that most fans of the animated films are used to. No more "hints" of death, broken bones or violence. The TMNT cast are usually never shown in such physical danger. Yeah, blue marks here and there, but bones breaking and blood gushing? Brave new approach to them. Less for Batman, more to them. Well done Nickelodeon, a great choice! Hinted violence is an annoying form of censorship designed to appeal for a wider range of audience. They went all in instead. Of course, this isn't an ultra-violent films, it's not FULL of blood and bones breaking, but they aren't afraid to show it when it's appropriate.
Tl;Dr - Perfect for me. Hilarious, great action, great characters, amazing fan-service that doesn't take away from the rest of the movie just for the sake of it and even makes it better. The movie is also filled with self-references of both franchises, which makes the dialogue much more fun and interesting and they assume the people watching are probably fans, so it's not loaded with boring exposition either. Only the essential that both party IN THE MOVIE need for it.
The humor is 10/10 thanks to Mikey & Robin. And really everyone else. The interactions between teenagers and such a serious bunch is so hearwarming, awkward and funny.
The action is so freaking good and dare I say the best I've seen out of ALL Batman movies.
The choreography of the action - It's grounded in reality, feels balanced and dangerous. They can't just force their way every single time, but to think or trick their way out of danger. We see them get hurt and struggle in many situations, something the rest of the batman films (specifically in the movies of the extended animated universe) cheap their way out of . Either by suddenly making the villain weak (Hush, for example) for no obvious reason or by letting Batman suddenly win in hand to hand combat despite heavily struggling before.
In short - This movie DOESNT do that and actually spent time thinking about danger, struggle, thinking, foreshadowing. The only thing I could wish for is a higher quality animation (not that it's bad, but imagine if it was better. Could have made this film 11/10)
The enjoyment of everything and how some characters grew up during the movie is so great. Each character stood out with its own uniqueness, each interaction was interesting and had a fresh feeling since we are basically discovering a new well thought dynamics of character we never thought we would see together.
The plot is rather simple, not outstand-ish but not that stupid either. Surprisingly, the TMNT villain was better than the Batman villain (in my opinion at least) in the grand scheme of things, regarding their "evil plans". So it doesn't take away by being not-stupid, but it doesn't really add too much either. So... it's not bad, doesn't really have holes in it (since it's too simple to have such holes), and you could consider it a classic evil plot, ruined by Batman and friends. But again, TMNT's villain had a more interesting plan and I'm really hoping for a sequel.
The music - Not bad, fitting the mood and action, isn't really memorable either.
Watch this film. The action and characters are so good and the ending is just perfect. The plot is much more of a "Classic" Than recent films, but it doesn't take away from the enjoyment and isn't a bad thing either.
