iZombie (2015)
iZombie: The Murder Mystery Solved by Eating Brains
I didn't love the first episode, I'll admit - but I watched the second episode and suddenly an addiction for the series is upon me. Can I also mention that this show is giving me major 'Stitchers' vibes? Same formula of the episode and same type of storyline - except instead of "stitching" Liv eats the brains and gets visions. However, overall, this is a one-of-a-kind series that I will continue to watch on Netflix. Liv is slowly growing on me and so is the detective. I also find it quite interesting that Liv not only gets visions, but inherits some of the interests and qualities of the person's brain she eats - how all of a sudden she has an artistic sense after eating the brain of an artist, or how she suddenly wants to steal everything red after eating the brain of a petty shoplifter. I also think it's hugely creative how she doesn't just gruesomely eat the brain, but cooks it in an omelet or in a pita pocket. It's fun! All in all, thanks CW for this show!
Orphan Black (2013)
Absolutely brilliant show. Forever a classic favorite.
This show is one I'll never be able to stop watching and never forget. Addictive plot, addictive story lines, amazing characters, acting is on point, and scripting is perfection. The story never gets dull and gets better by each episode. I'm at the end of Season 3 and instead of burning out all the good ideas in the beginning, each episode, the show gets even better. A wonderful show that I will continue to clear my schedule in order to watch. My favorite character at the moment is Alison, Helena, and Delphine (hence my username). They're such interesting characters that never seem to go flat. The relationships in the show, the drama, the murders, the whole Clone Club premise is fantastic. Well done BBC America. And bravo to Tatiana Maslany, who can pull off 10 different roles who are so uniquely different. Highly, highly recommended!
Containment (2016)
CONTAINMENT - An interesting premise, good show, will continue to watch
Great show, and great direction I have seen a lot of shows over my life. Some bad, some good. This one I'd give about 8. The show is very well done with the storyline of the virus outbreak and containing everyone, and it really gets you thinking of how people would really react in a situation like that. Badly. Loved ones separated during the quarantine, ones being isolated in rooms and going crazy, I don't want to spoil anything but the way the virus outbreak affects people in this series is the way it'd affect people in real life. Only con is that they are introducing too many characters to follow at the beginning, instead of focusing on one or two so they can begin to grow on us. Instead of 8 per 5 minutes, give us 3 per 5 minutes, but that's not too big of an issue. Love the show. Ironically enough, I'm watching this show while I have a cold bug, and am on bed rest, so this is pretty relatable at the moment haha. Will continue to watch!
The 100: Demons (2016)
Another Great Episode!
This episode was another good one, with plots and twists everywhere. And FINALLY we got to see Ontari again! She was MIA in last week's episode and we missed her and Murphy! Johntari is goals. The whole thing with the ALIE 2.0 chip was brilliantly done and the way Clarke had that quick thinking to kill the guy with the chip was just..awesome!! The ending totally bugged my mind, wow, ALIE now has control over the Heda and the 12 clans! The human race is screwed! What are we going to do?!
Only one downside - they pushed a little too hard for it to be horror-based. The whole first scene with Emerson dressing in those masks were pointless and just for scare. They should stick to Sci-Fi instead of Horror-Fi.
Otherwise, all in all, a great episode. I'm sad to see Sinclair go. He'll be missed.
The 100: Fallen (2016)
Best episode of Season 3, easily!
It's pretty clear that this is the best episode of Season 3, and blew me away! People are just still pining over Lexa and Liincoln dying, when their death was for the better of the show! Yes, I cried, I cursed, and then they gave us a new storyline and I'm all better now. Everyone honestly needs to get over it! Lexa's dead now, but the new fake commander is here and the scene with Murphy and her was literally hilarious, such a twist ending. And her fight to get the throne with her fake flame keeper is genius, she's pretending to be the next of the commanders and no one dares question her lie. I'm excited to see where it goes! And ALIE's part in this was INTENSELY dramatic, how she almost made Raven attempt suicide was GREUSOME but so dramatic, and drama is why we watch! ALIE and the city of light is obviously evil, and now ABBY is a part of it too! She even shows that she's under ALIE's influence at the end when she's like "Arkadia has fallen. Now we move to Step 2". And how Clarke at the end finds Lincoln is dead, and sees her mother being the ones trying to shoot her and Jasper, ending with a whispered "Mom". How is Clarke going to handle this news? She's been away, and she doesn't know anything about ALIE! How is this going to affect her? And in the next week's promo, it shows that Bellamy and Clarke are working together like old times to save Raven. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, BELLAMY IS BECOMING NORMAL AGAIN!! <3 Anyway, easily best episode. Please don't listen to the other reviews when judging this episode, the LGBT community is just wazzed off that they killed Lexa. Y'all need to grow up and watch the episode, because it's amazing.
