Drag Race México (2023)
What a shame, needs a lit of improvement
As a huge fan of RuPaul's Drag Race I feel very disappointed of this season. It was Mexico's opportunity to show our charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent as well as our culture to the world and failed.
There are a lot of mistakes, starting with the cast. Half of the girls weren't ready for this reality show and don't get me started with the judges. I love Valentina but sometimes she couldn't express what she wanted appropriately and Lolita Banana was so extra and dramatic; in conclusion they didn't have chemistry and their comments and critics weren't good nor funny. Oscar Madrazo was simply awful, a terrible choice.
In addition, the judges had a clear favoritism for Cristian Peralta. I mean, she's good but she shouldn't have won all those episodes, it became annoying because Regina and Matraka did better in a lot of those. Also the production was not the best, the camera angles were really unflattering for the queens and their looks and the challenges were terrible choices too.
And finally and the most disappointing thing is that Drag Race Mexico is a big bad copy of season 1 of Drag Race España, they even copied situations that were organic in Spain, so Mexico's version looks super acted and 0% natural.
I really hope they fix all this for the next season so it's at an international level.
The Nun II (2023)
Great story but not scary
As it is known, these movies have great stories, will get you very stressed and nervous but the scary scenes never land as they should. Anyway, it is enjoyable if you like the genre.
I was worried I couldn't remember what happened in the first movie but there's no need to rewatch it haha, it's pretty simple and a bit explained in this one.
If you're a fan of The conjuring and Annabelle, this is definitely for you. I would say The nun is not better than The conjuring and not as bad as Annabelle, so it's pretty likable. And the actresses bring this movie to life; love seeing Taissa Farmiga in this saga.
Délicieux (2021)
Wonderful movie about food and passion
From the first scene I was delighted by the food and characters. While the movie moves forward you get more and more attached. It's a great, creative story. Contains love, passion and a great narrative.
