Fargo: The Tragedy of the Commons (2023)
Juno Temple is incredible
My husband loves Fargo, and I haven't enjoyed any of the seasons, really. I don't LOVE them. This season... Different story. Juno Temple plays an amazing Dot and her accent is incredible. The plot line is good, really outdid yourself Fargo. Jennifer Jason Leigh is wonderful as always. I can't wait to see what Dot's real identity is. At first, I thought Witness protection but I don't think I'm right now. Overall, great writing, the fight scenes are well shot. I find a lot of cuts annoying, so it seems like Juno maybe doing some of her own stunts too which always adds a huge plus for me. Can't wait for the rest of the season.
Black Bird (2022)
Taron Egerton and Paul Walter Hauser deserve every award imaginable
Wasn't the biggest fan of Taron. He was okay but this role really elevated him for me. 10/10. What is there to say about Paul?! I've been enjoying his performances since I, Tonya. He is simply INCREDIBLE! Ray Liotta, great ending to a great career. Highly recommend!
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Good movie, except for the Mighty Thor
I saw all of the reviews so I went in with low hopes so it was better than I was expecting. If I had watched it without reading reviews I may have hated it. SERIOUS issues with Natalie Portman as the Mighty Thor. Gave me major Star Wars vibes and just... It didn't work. The hammer was so cool, it was too bad she held it. No shade, it just fell flat for me. The little SNL skits were not funny but there were funny parts (I will say the Fabio split almost had me turn it off). All in all it was as good as the 1st Thor in my opinion, but on par with Stage 4. Better than Dr Strange, at least, I thought.
Deep Water (2022)
What??? I have so many questions
I only watched until the end because I had to see how it ended. I was right, unfortunately, the ending was as anticlimactic as the rest of the movie. I am so confused. Stupid movie, I don't recommend.
Black Widow (2021)
Better than I expected but I wasn't expecting much
The action scenes were cool (except for a few parts where the heros should have clearly died even in mcu universe and they were fine) and David harbour was great as usual but it was just an "ehh" kind of movie.
I Care a Lot (2020)
It's not THAT bad
Peter Dinklage was really good. The lady playing jennifer peterson was good. But the ending was stupid and far fetched. I don't wanna give anything away but if it was the Russian mafia way more people would have died
The Undoing (2020)
Couldn't stop watching
I don't wanna spoil anything so I'm just gonna say this series is so, so good! Was never a big hugh grant fan, but he's incredible in this. And Donald Sutherland, wow. His scene in the school is the best
Terri (2011)
This is a great movie
Love John C Reilly and the movie is so well done. The main character is such a lovable guy. A really good movie to watch when I'm stressed out and it makes me happy
Death Note (2017)
This movie does not deserve a 4.5
This movie is really good. In a time where all movies are the same, this movie had twists and turns I did not see coming. LaKeith Stanfield has yet another incredible performance.
Honey Boy (2019)
Shia labeouf is amazing
The film is really really good and Shia's performance is nothing short of oscar worthy
Little Fires Everywhere (2020)
Don't understand why this show has a 7.7
Reese was great but I was waiting for a plot twist that never happened. It might have been okay if it was only four episodes. Trust the reviews, not the score
Frozen II (2019)
Beautiful graphics, everything else is terrible
I turned this movie off after the Trainwreck that was the song of Sven and Kristoff. The story had the potential to be good but they ruined it. In my opinion, this will go down as one of the worst remakes ever. It only gets a four star because the graphics were so incredible
Hunters (2020)
Al Pacino is great, the rest is blah
I was really excited for this show but I was very disappointed that it wasn't very historically accurate. However, I am willing to look over it, if the acting is good or the story is good. But I had a tough time getting through the storyline and the main actor, who plays Jonah, was so annoying and child-like, that I couldn't finish it. Bad cast, except for Pacino, who was amazing
The Irishman (2019)
Boring
This movie is way too long. The special effects were cool but it's not enough to make it a great movie. The acting was good but with the amount of talent they had, I was expecting more. Not worth the hype in my opinion.
Glass (2019)
M. Night does it again
This trio of movies could not have ended more perfectly. The writing is incredible and the score is beautiful. James McAvoy should have an Oscar for this role. If you like movies, you'll like it
Mid90s (2018)
Jonah Hill really killed it
I've watched this movie three times in two days. The acting, the writing, the directing, and last but not least, the music, all incredible. It was also full of nostalgia since I grew up in the 90s. Worth a watch
