Midnight (2019)
greatly executed
Interesting concept, great execution. The story is not immediately understandable, but I love movies that make the audience work. Once you get it, you realise how thought-trough this film is. Great job to everyone involved but especially the writer and the director!
Pig (2019)
A showcase of talent!
The first film of the third chunk of short films to be screened at the Frightfest. So cute and sooo funny! The ending had everyone cracking up!
I just loved everything of this film, the writing was spot on, the acting was great, the direction was AMAZING (great storytelling, pace, visuals). The director definitely knows his job. Well done!
One Last Meal (2019)
good job
Disturbing but also funny. Quite surreal at times (in a good way). I liked the production design a lot, loved the opening of the film and the brutal grey prison. Some of the lines were quite funny. Overall a good job!
Sleep Tight (2019)
Funny as hell
I rarely give 10/10 but this film deserves it! Many movies that were shown at the FrightFest were funny and made people laugh, but this honestly brings funny to the next level. Everyone at the theatre was literally bending over with laughter from start to finish! Amazing direction, great filmmaking techniques and very clever writing. Great job!
This Little Death (2018)
A very interesting idea
I saw this at the FrightFest a couple days ago. Disturbing concept but very interesting. Very good acting performance from the lead actress! Maybe the film needed more time to explore the connections between the two focuses of the film (the finger and the love story) but overall it was well done and quite unique.
Very cool gadget too!
Re: Possessed Homes (2014)
an amazingly funny comedy-horror
Saw this at the Frightfest. Very well done, very talented filmmakers. The writing and the actress are definitely the strongest elements of this, but everything in it was good really. The audience kept laughing, me included. The filmmakers definitely know what they're doing. Well done!
Dog Skin (2019)
Sublime
This movie was absolutely stunning to look at. The frame composition, the colours, the lights, the production design. Everything was dark and harmonious and just breathtakingly beautiful. Story-wise, this picture makes the audience work to figure things out and I like that. Loved the slower pace as well. Great job!
