Sully (2016)
The real memory is better
I remember seeing the landing on the news that same day. The real footage is even more extraordinary. The way it landed with that speed and everything.... absolutely breathtaking. At time everyone adored the pilot and hooraed him for that perfect excuted achievement!!
Unfortunately the movie made me upset with the thought that he could be at blame... I was shocked with that aspect. Since I didn't remember the specifics about what happened to the pilot afterwards, I was prepared for a bad ending while I was watching. That up until the very last scene at the hiring.
I would like it if the movie had given more respect time to that great man and crew.
Love in the Villa (2022)
Way too long and old minded
Unnecessary and tiring long. Not a prototype scenario, not a prototype interpretation. The characters were way too mean with each other without even a reason for it. Especially with the hero's cat allergy. He could be easily killed. Nobody should be playing with medical things. Nobody should be such a hardcore evil person. I didn't appreciate the thing that the film equallises a serious health issue with a completely edible non-preferable food mischief.
Plus I totally did not appreciated the old fashioned optic of the film. I mean treating someone badly because you are not emotional mature to accept that you have fond feelings for someone non conveniet is just wrong.
The In Between (2022)
Must seen
The movie manages to build up the characters and pass the ultimate feeling of absolute love to the viewers. You feel from the start the bittersweet tragedy of a great love that had an expiration date. The scenery is magnificent and the art photography is very emotional and touching. The message "open yourself up and enjoy the little moments in life" is clearly delivered. Although, if the fiction elements were more delicately created threy could had stronger impact.
The Bubble (2022)
Very entertaining
Light funny careless movie. This is how i imagine film shooting happening even without the pandemic. The jokes are not necessary to be in the lines, the jokes are mostly on the situations happening and with a sarcastic satiric view. The movie highlights the most extreme and overdramatic way people handle things in their lives on either personal or professional level.
I really enjoyed this easy to watch comedy. Plus "cliff monsters" seemed as a crazy addicted universe.
Digger (2020)
Masterpiece
Excellent work, wonderful photography, beautiful locations, captivating shots, fantastic acting, Mourikis is the best. Realistic senario which exposes environment, economical, ethical and social dilemmas. The characters are well developed with back stories. There are funny moments and hard moments just as life is.
The best film I have watched in ages if never.
Thunder Force (2021)
Funny fun delight
The funniest movie. Also the whole cast, except the villain, are plus size. Nice touch.
Hansel, Gretel i Agentstvo Magii (2021)
Amazing
Funny, beautiful pictures, entertaining, cute characters, watchable for adults.
Hereditary (2018)
boring
It was way long, over two hours, and very very slow. It has creepy elements but in sush slow pace that you don't even feel disturbed. I had high hopes from seeing the trailer. It is totally disappointing
Black Swan (2010)
Black Swan is an incredible film from beginning to end, and will not easily leave you.
There are not enough words in the English language to describe the praise Darren Aronofsky deserves for Black Swan.Black Swan is an enthralling and visceral experience from beginning to end. While you may have read suggestions that Black Swan and The Wrestler are two halves of the same film, make no mistake at looking at it any further beyond the comparison of being about two people toiling within two very different forms of art The visuals and editing are the drive of what helps make the film so well done. Aronofsky also deserves recognition for the film's lean running time. Portman, who has shown her acting merits before in the likes of Closer, delivers a startlingly intense and beautiful performance as Nina. The supporting cast only helps to further complement Portman's extraordinary performance.Black Swan is an incredible film from beginning to end, and will not easily leave you. It is a masterpiece of unheralded success, and is easily the best film I saw at TIFF. Watch out for it at Oscar time – it just may steal the show.
