Death to 2020 (2020 TV Special)
Was literally laughing out loud
3 March 2021
I wasn't expecting that. Fun, hilarious take on the mockumentary style. Hugh Grant was gold and the bits with the Scientist....🤣! Samuel L. Jackson & Leslie Jones were too funny! Loved the Voice-over narration, as well.

Entirely Overrated

Huge let down & waste of time. The writing, dialogue & acting were so bad it just seemed lazy. I was actually surprised by how bad it was. At the point were it had 30 minutes left, I hoped the garbage would be redeemed or justified at the end but it failed to deliver. I don't see how some people liked this or gave it positive reviews. It was just ridiculously executed from start to finish

Palmer (2021)
Better than expected
18 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So glad I watched this. I the ad for it and just skipped right past it, but then my sister recommended it and told me to watch it. So I did. And I am glad I did.

First off, I looooove me some J.T. Second, I know towns like these. It really captured the oppressive attitude that seems to perpetually haunt the south.

I love Palmer starts off quiet and just observes. Let's everyone have a chance to speak for themselves. He's a mystery at first and then starts to act/speak up more. At times you don't know what he's gonna do just like he probably doesn't know what he's gonna do at the moment.

It is a heart-breaking tale that happens all too often in life in a broken society enforcing broken systems to keep us down. Sheds light on the criminal justice system, industrial prison complex, dysfunctional families, addiction, gender and identity.

Palmer and Sam will both win your heart. I loved both characters and they were perfectly cast. The story and performance could not have been better!

I don't usually like happy endings because they are too often unlikely and unrealistic but with this movie, I wanted sooo much for things to work out for both Palmer & Sam. I honestly didn't think it was going to end well for them, and it was looking like there was no way it was going to. But I am sooo glad it did!!!!

Bravo! <3

Ted Lasso (2020– )
We need more Ted Lasso in the world/our lives.
18 February 2021
I usually don't care for the feel-good stuff as it tends to usually be cliche or unrealistic with the happy endings that tend to be more fantasy and highly unlikely but this show actually made me FEEL GOOD. It made me laugh a ton and made my heart happy. I love the characters! The writing is beyond brilliant. And who doesn't love an SNL Alum?! This show was just what I've been missing/needed.

Ted's annoying optimism is contagious. He cleverly and gently finds his way through everyone's guarded walls and touches your heart in a way that heals your soul. The dialogue and quotes are like the secret ingredient that just adds that extra little something to sprinkle in a nice/special touch. You can't help but love him! He's like a modern day mix between Jesus & Santa Claus. And his dancing skills aren't too shabby either:)

My sister and I both binged the entire season in one day. I just can't get enough. Guess I'll have to watch reruns told hold me over until we can get more.

Kenan (2021–2022)
Maybe I'm biased...
18 February 2021
So glad Kenan Thompson has his own show (again). I grew up with him and have always been such a big fan. I hope he doesn't leave SNL as it won't be the same without him. He's my all time favorite. I've never been someone who was obsessed with celebrities, but him....I would absolutely looove to meet! Everything he's ever been on, it feels like you know him. Just seems like a down to earth, hilarious guy that would be a lot of fun/great company. He's always genuine and it reads through the camera/screen. If laughter is the best medicine, then Kenan is my doctor. Looking forward to more episodes.
