Busanhaeng (2016)
A masterclass in how zombie films should be made
This film is one of the best zombie films I've ever seen I'm normally not a fan of zombie movies but this film really proves that there is still originality left in the zombie horror genre overall I was blown away by how brilliantly made & brilliantly acted this film was
The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020)
Well..... This film exists so here's a review
I had no idea this film had even began or finished filming the making of this was very quiet one of the actors revealed that it was coming out this September and we got one trailer now here it, let me just say I really enjoyed the first one it was funny, violent and really enjoyable
This film has some enjoyment sprinkled throughout but it is such a mess of a film that tries so hard to make it work without Samara weaving for literally the entire film she shows up 20 minutes before the end and is only on screen for about 10 minutes, with a twist that honestly if I explained everything I'd be here all day it just ridiculous how much of her plan was solely based on absolute luck, like literally there's no way what she planned would ever go down in the exact way it did.
As a sequel it really does make the first film feel kinda pointless at the end, Bella Thorne is annoying as hell in this one, the rest of the cast did good with what they were given but honestly given how long it's been since the first I was hoping for a lot more but it seems as though they didn't have a clue what to do with this so now we have killer queen it's really disappointing I gave it chance especially considering negative things about it but yeah I should have listened to the critics despite laughing at a few things there's not much in this that's memorable, here's hoping Netflix puts their money into something better next time or spend more time actually focusing on an idea that works not just throw anything you can at the screen until you have a movie that feels rushed but kinda boring at the same time
The Irishman (2019)
Scorsese
I was genuinely worried about the runtime of this film i thought it might feel dragged out and boring, but no this film uses its 3 and a half hour runtime to deliver an incredible gangster film with incredible performances some pretty great uses of deaging, it is a risky and very bold film but it is works and it is one of the best films of the year definitely deserves Oscar attention
Red Sparrow (2018)
Jennifer Lawrence that is all...
Jennifer Lawrence is great in this movie, it is the main reason I like this movie she carries this film throughout she carries an overall boring film with some good stuff in it all the way through the runtime, she kept me watching for the runtime she is a fantastic actress.....
Atomic Blonde (2017)
Slick, stylish and highly entertaining
What can I say about this movie the action is great, performances are great, story is great and it is a very stylish well shot film that definitely deserves more love
Anna (2019)
What?!
I had high hopes for this film after the first trailer showed off some great looking action I was down for this film but now that I've finally seen it I'm a little disappointed, the flashback and then Flash forward to what you were just watching is a frustrating and very jarring experience it becomes almost laughable as the movie continues, performances are good, story and structure is weak, the action is entertaining when it happens overall a disappointing experience but not an awful watch just don't expect too much because it doesn't deliver
Hellboy (2019)
This movie was hell....boy
Let's start with the positive david harbour was a great pick for hellboy he did a good job despite given a very bad script, Ian mcshane can do no wrong in any movie even though he mainly dished out exposition, the blood queen was awful, the plot was all over the place jumping one thing to the next it didn't flow very well it was a disjointed mess, the cgi is terrible, pointless violence and a ridiculous amount of swearing they both felt over used trying too hard to earn an R rating overall a very very disappointing movie that could have been something great because hellboy actual look was pretty great, here's hoping if another reboot happens it doesn't end up this way
Men in Black: International (2019)
I was very entertained
Despite all the negative stuff I've heard about this movie I was throughly entertained throughout the movie, the chemistry between the two leads was great, likeable characters interesting aliens and designs, is it as good as the first men in black no but no where near the trainwreck critics are making it out to be i would definitely recommend
That '70s Show (1998)
