Diffrent but not lesser than Fury Road, don't let fanboys put you off
26 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
While Fury Road is more of a mindless action with little story Furiosa is the opposite. It expanded and built on the world that was shown in Fury Road.

You got to see the settlements, backstory on how she lost her arm, her face paint, her sniper skills. The movie is just perfect. There were also some amazing action sequences. The war rig and later the fight at the bullet farm.

The only moment where it was kind of slow was when Furiosa confronted Dementus 1 on 1 at the end.

While the movie was not an explosion of non stop action it was superior as a story and more balanced overall.

Definitely worth the watch, did not regret seeing it at the cinema.

Can't believe the low rating on this
30 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Another proof that trusting IMDB ratings can be a very inconsistent deal.

This episode depicts a very specific horror of obeying norms in society and being brainwashed by tv, commercials and expectations due to the strong desire to fit in a group.

The main character who's completely insecure in her looks destroys her quiet unique life and healthy relationship with a husband who loves and accepts her as she is and supports all her strangeness and uniqueness, just to feel pretty and fit in.

As someone who has been an outsider all my life and also a woman I can understand the desire to fit in but I also understand that at the end of the day you go back home and you're left with yourself. Which I guess is what the final close up is about at the end of the episode.

She accomplishes her goal but at the same time she realizes it's meaninglessness and superficialness but she realizes there's no way back to how it was either.

The way the episode was shot with the close up crazy faces also amplified the unsettling feeling of people who feel like empty shells rather than actual humans with personalities. It was a perfect filming technique to use for this episode.

Here Alone (2016)
not so bad
18 November 2021
People who call this slow paced probably have the attention span of a crumpet or didn't really feel like watching a movie like this. The movie was fine, no wonder I don't trust imdb ratings anymore. This isn't an action packed fanservice zombie movie, it's a sad story about a woman who feels guilty for surviving.

Shows started out great but deteriorated

It's obvious whoever writes the show has no clue what to do with the characters and how to develop them.

Don't be fooled this was a pretty decent movie

I don't know if it's because I had no expectations but I found this movie fun and enjoyable and there's also a surprise ending. It definitely stands out from the generic cheesy romance movies and is a really good Chrismas movie to watch.

Shockingly bad for an xmen movie
8 June 2019
First of all the script sucked. The direction wasn't great - emotional scenes were really awkward at times. The actors felt off. Guess this is what happens when Bryan Singer is out and I don't care what people say about Apocalypse - it's way above the level of this movie. People were probably disappointed with it cause the movie before Apocalypse was Days of future past which is the best of all. And you can't expect the best to be beaten easily. Hell I'd even watch X3 rather than Dark Phoenix

Manifesto (III) (2015)
I can see most people hating this
4 February 2018
I didn't quite get it myself maybe partly cause english isn't my native language and the profanity was distracting but I think the general idea was about art being put on a leash with rules and manufactured for the consumer (like in the scene where the teacher CORRECTS the art of children instead of leaving it as it is) rather than being created as it is.It also seems to be about being too obsessed with glorifying old art and not really creating anything unique to our current time.

Atomic Blonde (2017)
not bad at all
13 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This movies is made from the people who did John Wick 1 and to be honest it is better than John Wick 1. That one long bloody action scene was amazing and very realistic.I love the focus on hand combat. There is some shooting but not too much for it to get boring. The cinematography is consistently beautiful across the whole movie. This is a John Wick 2 level of cool and a very good female lead.
