Doctor Who: The Girl in the Fireplace (2006)
David Tennant is the best Dr. Who since Tom Baker
"GIRL IN THE FIREPLACE" was a very good Dr. Who episode. David Tennant is the best Dr. Who since Tom Baker, and i think he was born to play the character. "Girl in the Fireplace" is one of Tennant's best episodes. There was good acting from Sophia Myle who well cast in the role of Madame de Pompadour. It was especially well-acted by Tennant especially at the end of the episode when he learns Reinette died and he reads her letter when he closes down the "Time Windows". The new series does it best to not take the drama too serious and still funny. I thought Tennant was funny in one scene, where he's wearing his tie around his head and wearing a pair of sunglasses (That scene cracked me up). The music (especially at the end of the episode) was beautiful. "GIRL IN THE FIREPLACE" is recommended for all Dr. Who fans and fans of Sophia Myles. Good drama, Good humor. I hope David Tennat stays on longer than Christopher Eccleston. I think it will be a real shame when he leaves the series.
Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004)
One of the best movies of 2004.
KILL BILL: VOLUME 2 is one of the best movies of 2004 and is Uma Thurman's most improved performance since Batman and Robin. After assassinating two of her Ex colleges, Female Assassin The Bride sets out to assassinate her two other former colleges and kill her Ex Boss Bill who is holding her daughter in his custody. I love KILL BILL: VOLUME 2. Uma did good acting especially, she did well-acting at the end of the film when she crying in the bathroom, i thought it was a shame that Uma didn't get a Oscar for her performance. What was good about VOL. 2, was it had all the answers. David Carradine was born to play Bill. The music by Quentin Tarrantino's best-friend Robert Rodriguez was good. I thought the song "About her" by Malcolm McClaren had good music and good lyrics, the song was about the relationship between The Bride and B.B. The fight between Elle and The Bride was a whoop-a** showdown and Elle got what she deserved. I thought the opening sequence when Uma is talking to the audience "When i arrive at my destination. I'm gonna Kill Bill" is one of the most memorable moments in cinema history. This is a highly-recommended film for fans of Quentin Tarrantion, Uma Thurman and David Carradine. Watch out for cameos from Sid Haig and Samuel L. Jackson. Put on you're DVD, sit back and brace yourselves as Uma Thurman is going to kill Bill.
Bernard and the Genie (1991)
A really good Fantasy Comedy-Drama. Made a star out of Alan Cumming
BERNARD AND THE GENIE was a really good Fantasy Comedy-Drama. Every scene with Lenny Henry was hilarious, especially when he is taken to the police station and he has his photos taken and makes silly faces in front of the camera and especially when he accidentally cuts his hand with his sword. Alan Cumming did a good performance as Bernard, and he makes you feel sorry for the character. Rowan Atkinson was good in his famous Blackadder role as Bernard's greedy and corrupt employer. The TV movie has it's moments. Parts of the film were very sad, especially when Bernard says a tearful goodbye to the Genie and Bernard and the Genie's hearts are broken, when Bernard's fiancée has a affair with his best mate and The Genie learns his kittens and his girlfriend have been dead for centuries. Still Bernard and the Genie made a star out of Alan Cumming who went to star in GoldenEye and X-Men 2, both films starred Famke Janssen. BERNARD AND THE GENIE is for all those who are fans of Lenny Henry and Rowan Atkinson. I hope one-day, Alan Cumming and Lenny Henry reunite and make a long-awaited follow-up "Bernard and the Genie 2", where Bernard reunites with the Genie. It would be nice know what has happened to Bernard, years after the Genie went back home to his own time.
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999)
One of the best movies of all time
AUSTIN POWERS THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME is one of the best movies of all time. Very Entertaining, laugh-out-loud comedy and groovy baby!!! The Spy who shagged me is the best film out of the three Austin Powers films. This is a film, Mike Myers should be very proud of. In THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME, Austin time-travels to the year 1969, where Dr. Evil has stolen Austin's body-fluid "Mojo" which makes Austin attract the opposite sex, without his Mojo, Austin is left powerless. Teaming up with a sexy CIA agent named Felicity Shagwell, Austin sets out to stop Dr. Evil who is holding Washington DC for ransom, and he plans to wipe out Washington DC with a laser gun on the moon, if the President does not pay the ransom. I laughed every minute throughout the movie. The moment where Dr. Evil is on THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW and gets into a fight with Jerry Springer made me wet myself with laughter and especially when Mini-Me beats the s*** out Austin. What makes THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME such a great film is all the hilarious moments, music and action. Heather Graham was extremely sexy as Felicity and i think Felicity Shagwell deserves to have her own spin-off feature film, Verne Troyer did a good supporting role as Mini-Me and he makes the character very lovable, The hilarious moments with Dr. Evil are comic classics, and the scene where Heather is in the bikini which is a tribute to Dr. No is a moment not to forget. THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME is one of my all-time favorite movies. I think it deserves a score of 10 out of 10
