Can I just say "paisa vasool"!
10 September 2022
We were 7 of us who saw the afternoon show on Saturday. It was a fully packed theatre. And what an experience! We had a blast! Of course, it's not perfect (what thing in life is?) but it's a wonderful big screen extravaganza that celebrates movies, culture, love and romance.

The premise is grand. The VFX and the background music is amazing. The 3D experience is even better! The story is rooted in love - which is fine but it could possibly have edited better to make it more crisp. The dialogues could also have been written better - but my guess is that was an intentional choice to cater to a mass market and today's generation. But the whole package is a great watch - and should be done on the big screen.

Do I wish there were a few tweaks and edits made? Yes.

Do I think it's a must watch on the big screen? A BIG FAT YES!!

Don't listen to the haters - just go and watch it yourself. It's a celebration of love and life on the big screen! I'm excited about part 2!

Very well done!

Warning: Spoilers
A lot of people here are judging the movie even before watching it to make a stupid point that's not even worth raising. Anyway, I quite enjoyed the movie. It is inspirational, very well story-boarded and has some really good acting! Pankaj Tripathi was exceptional as the lovable dad, and Angad Bedi as the brother. And I think Jhanvi Kapoor really really REALLY did very well - she deserves a lot of credit and accolades for this! Of course the movie is not perfect, but it's a lot more than a very decent watch! I was left with teary eyes and missing my family! Please watch it!

High hopes, but ineffective.
6 August 2020
I read the reviews and had such high hopes from the movie. Everyone here has given it such a high rating that it seemed it was a brilliant film. In reality, it seems people are just giving it a 10 star rating to honor Sushant Singh Rajput. Though I have nothing against that, but we should be rating the movie, not a person.

Anyway, for me, the movie didn't do anything. I couldn't connect to it for even a bit. The female lead was good. Supporting cast did justice too. Sushant was decent, but I don't think this was his best work. I can easily tear up watching a movie, but this one didn't do anything for me.

The best Disney animated film ever...
10 May 2005
The best Disney animated film ever...This film had it all, it was funny, emotional, had family drama, and above all, great animation and songs! My personal favorite character is Rafiki, the Baboon! I still cant forget the line he says to Simbe, "Past can hurt, but as I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it!" it is so true! i loved Zazu's weirdness, and shenzi's humor, above all, i loved Pumba's innocence and Timon's intelligence! In short, i found the film the best film ever... The voice cast is also great. Mathew did complete justice to Simba, and what can I say about Mufasa, He is the best King, and dad anyone can ever get! The movie is not meant for kids, its meant to teach every adult a lesson...to find our place in the great "Circle Of Life". I give this film a perfect 10.
