Migration (2023)
Great 3D Ride if you're into that, and very family oriented!
I love 3D movies done right, and this was a very rollercoaster of a ride. The villain reminds me of a well known celebrity, but don't want to spoil anything. The movie shows strong family attachment and values. I strongly recommend you guys to watch it in 3D for a full subversive experience. Also, the first section of the movie includes a nostalgic short of Vector from Despicable Me. Lof of Fun, wont disappoint.

War Dogs (2016)
wolf of wall street part 2
as one user said in the forums title pretty much sums up this movie. and its not a bad thing at all. though it wont be as graphic as w.o.w., the movie does have its scenes. pretty much a fun ride with a sweet rush and Jonah Hill makes it very comic. i do recommend this movie and would watch again. if you like seeing how two young Americans came to be millionaires doing illegal actions than you are safe here. I mean who wouldn't want to see that. Also Miles Teller makes a great duo with Jonah, perfect crew for a blast of a movie. but enough of my shenanigans check it out and thanks me later. dusty webb signing out. 8/10
Carnage Park (2016)
good flick worth a watch
don't know what the previous reviewer is on but this movie was pretty spot on. survival/horror genre film making is not an easy task, but this movie pulled it off. i can recommend it and and would watch again with friends. the movie is about a psycho post military man carrying on a sick revenge against society. he states "Out here in the desert, God has no favorites"; just before sniping off one of his victims. the movie can compare to "The hills have eyes", so if you've seen that movie you know what your getting into. no complains on the acting and the main actress is pretty hot. there is a bank robber named Scorpion Joe who was pretty cool too, the director managed to pull the gangster out of him. but its the main lead actress who did a spectacular job and she deserves lots of praise. my favorite movies are survival ones and just wanted to let y'all know if you are fan of the genre give the movie a chance. good modern horror/survival flick. 8/10 dusty webb
Hardcore Henry (2015)
holocaust cannibal + GTA+ Doom= Hardcore Henry
Just saw an early preview of Hardcore Henry and title pretty much sums it up. This movie is hardcore action and gore, so if you are not into that sort of thing than bye bye. I gotta say, I wonder if the director was inspired by Holocaust Hannibal because he sure brought the genre justice, unlike "The Green Inferno" which was a let down. The movie is shot in a first person perspective, and the technique really makes you feel as if you are in the movie. Keeping in mind this, Hardcore Henry will be the Godfather of this first person genre if a trend develops. Do not confuse this with shaky cam movies like Paranormal Activities or Blair Witch, this is beyond to another level. So in conclusion, if you don't mind fictional gore, love action and shooter video games, than you are in for a treat. 10/10
this has been another review by Dusty Webb. Peace.
London Has Fallen (2016)
cheap Chinese CGI
I know doing CGI in daytime is pretty difficult, but if this is Hollywood: expectations are high. They decided to go cheap on the cgi and look what happens. some things are and should stay expensive. The movie direction, camera angles, acting were superb; but the CGI was almost close to those you see in Chinese releases. I wouldn't be surprised if they hired a team from there. Don't get me wrong not hating on China, but the masters of CGI are here in the US. The explosions were so bad it made me cringe. And that London bridge scene... the physics were worse than what you would see in a low budget video game. This movie would have been a 8/10, but it deserves somewhere between 6-7 because of that.
Tempus (2015)
Art
Once I finished watching this short, only one word came into my mind: Art. I really don't have anything negative to say about this film. It never hurts to express love by the means of art. And here everyone involved pulled it off perfectly. From the cinematic tone, to the visuals and the score. Its very hard to get a true vibe of what a director can accomplish with short films, this goes to a cast and everyone involved.(Compared to a full featured film) But this was neatly done and touching. So congratulations to everyone involved. My name is Dusty Webb and I rate and review films. I have seen all kinds of films, really. I recommend this video to loving couples, of all ages. You may want to use it as a pass-time with a lover, or a future one at that.
The Walk (2015)
3d done right
I wasn't sure what i was walking in to when i saw the walk. The trailers indicated a full movie based on a short event. The main character had an accent that i, from the trailers believed would hate. In the end, the movie was mind blowing. First, the accent was in fact pretty cool. Like it is cool now to have a french accent now. Lewitt managed to become into a cool kat with a cool accent. Second, this movie WAS made for 3D and IMAX in mind. The Twin towers in migrarous 3D and the biggest screen would bring you tears when you realize how the world lost such a beauty, but that is another subject. Through out the movie the director used 3D in a smart manner, and Not in a gimmicky one. Finally, the movie was packed with a whole bunch of extras that were not forced in or deviated the movie from the final scene. It was well paced. Bravo for "The WalK" Im Dusty Webb making honest reviews. lookout for my other reviews peeps. Adios.
Cop Car (2015)
Simply fun.
Fun from beginning to end. would watch again. I would also recommend it. The movie has some dark comedy style twist to it, but it stays dramatic. It doesn't jump into a comedy. Also, if you watch this movie and liked it be sure to watch Blue Ruin. Its a different director and has lots of more violence but the style of the dark comic is present there too. The two boys and the cop were perfect in their roles so no complain there. The director John Watts put time and effort into this piece, with a small story to work with. Now throw some more money and time, and we are in for a ride. Cant wait for the new Spiderman movie, which will be his next film...
Annabelle (2014)
The Horror in Conjuring is a joke compared to this.
If you liked Insidious, than this is a must watch. As opposed to a movie focusing on the doll Annabelle like Child's Play does with Chucky, this movie steers to the evil behind the doll. Good Decision. Props to the director for this. What really impressed me was how I could say this movie belongs up in the category of Insidious for the many creepy scenes. There were some laughs, and some jump stomach aching inducing scenes. I don't know who the director of this movie is, but when I do I will keep my eyes open to See what else he contributes. 2014 was a good year for horror movies. First "Tusk", and now "Annabelle".
Gravity (2013)
Have you ever had that dream...
Have you ever had that dream, you know the one where you are detached from your physical body and you are floating around your room? Well, this film manages to give you that very same feeling, or at least very close. Its an experience, a roller-coaster ride, a chance for you to gaze at the stars far from the city, and an opportunity to see the world from outer space for what it is: Earth is a marble. A beautiful marble. A marble neutralized of aqua-green, turquoise blue, snow-flake white, and a God given glossy touch to its colors. Seeing it in the big screen, and in 3D, is a gift. It is for thy reason why Gravity has been recognized, and appreciated by so many. It deserves all the awards a movie in the making of five years would take. Very few movies have people returning to see a movie. I remember I went to see it a few days before it was supposedly going to be its last show, yet the room was still 3/4 full. People were actually seeing it again, bringing in their colleges. I belief it's because the movie is sort of like a roller-coaster. After you are done with the ride, you want to act as a child and get back in line for another one. The music is very engaging, the heart beat tones and the several sounds of transmitted vibrations all get to you. I didn't want to see the movie because people raved about it, I wanted to see it because I saw a short clip at the Imax website. I actually believed that it was a production from Imax. When the movie was over, and I found out otherwise, I wasn't disappointed but surprised. All the cinematography that is expected from an Imax documentary was present. To me this movie is a first of its kind, and definitely a closer take to a 4D film.
