Boiling Point (2023)
Fantastic!
This, (like the movie before it) is absolutely brilliant!. The acting, the story, the characters, in fact everything about this is perfect. I only wish there was more!. Please make a second series.
Like others have said, The BBC need to concentrate on spending our money on this kind of drama. Not all these ridiculous re-runs etc.
My partner has just watched the original movie (after be banging on about it for well over a year!)
She absolutely loved it and can't wait to catch me up on the series as I have decided to leave the last two episodes so we can watch them together. I was so hard not to just binge them in one sitting!.
Benidorm (2007)
Very very good until....
Season 4!
We started this from the beginning the other week. We had seen it on TV for years but had never watch it. It started really well & seemed to get better & better, brilliant characters & really funny episodes. Until season 4 then it became unwatchable!, They had everyone queuing up to be in it as it really was classic British humour, but like many before it & no doubt many after it, the writing got lazy & predictive, I bet some of the cast probably got greedy & were promptly written out of the show. People on here who loved it fro the start & still love it.... I am happy for you but, the stupid new characters & ridiculous storylines killed it dead for me!. I am gutted as I was loving it.
Fall (2022)
Seriously?
This had the makings of a great movie.... untill it started.
My eyes started rolling from the off. This is am embarrassment to movie making, at least research your subject!....I'm no climber but I even know that you would take more rope than a bloody skipping rope.
On top of the tower they were raising their phones above their heads to try & get a signal 🤣
Rubbish predictable story/twists.
Acting was nothing to write home about.
I can honestly say I will never see this movie again. My14 year old Daughter on the other hand will probably enjoy it....for a short time.
The special effects are quite well done, as is the photography.
But I honestly think this movie is forgettable at best.
Rewind (2019)
Very deep & hard hitting
Very insightful, moving & sometimes hard to watch.
A very well made document of what seemed a fairly normal family.
Uncut Gems (2019)
A Gem
Fast paced, action with Sandler in a completely different role.
Edge of the seat stuff!..will he make his big score?....his messy love life?.
I was glued from the off set. I will definitely watch & enjoy this again!
The Morning Show (2019)
Way better than I expected.
Wasn't sure why I even started watching this?, (I think I saw JA & RW on a few chat here in the UK).
Anyway, I'm so glad I did!
The cast is fantastic, the acting is on point, the story is enough to for me to keep wanting more.
Great to see Jack Davenport again!....(I know I am going to have to watch This Life as soon as I'm finished with this!
All These Small Moments (2018)
Give it a watch
This movie is hardly going to be seen! It is one of those that no one has heard of & like me you may come across it by accident (like me).
I had no idea about any of the cast, so was iver the moon when Molly Ringwald's name came up!.
The movie itself is a slice of life drama mapping out how important little points in your life that will stay with you forever. I personally really enjoyed it as this is right up my street (I hate CGI, special fx & blockbuster movies) give me a little independent cinema any day!
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
How did I miss this?
I watched 'Once upon time in America' the other night & was intrigued to see was the young actress Jennifer connelly had gone on to do.
This took me to this, a movie I had heard of but never watched & knew nothing about.
I am so glad I watched this! It is not an easy watch but it is a film made with passion...enough people are writing about the plot etc so will leave that to them.
The acting is a joy to watch I can't think of any weak performances. This is for people who enjoy film as an art rather than JUST entertainment.
My Brother is watching it tonight!
What Happened to Monday (2017)
Loved it!
Myself, & my 10-year-old Daughter watched this together & had a great time. It is fast paced action packed. I think you will all enjoy if you give it a chance!
