Civil War (2024)
A zombie movie with no Zombies.
Incoherent and stumbling it's way along. The polt is weak, the sides are unclear, the reason for war is unclear, why you should be emotionally invested in the characters is unclear, why Pablo Escobar had one scene where he kinda sorta flirts with the girl and the only other mention that he was interested in here was an off the cuff remark... Is also unclear.
This is a zombie movie minus the zombies. Typical road trip across apocalyptic American waste land coming into contact with splinter factions of people. From the murderous soldiers with the dead body pit, the solo sniper with the clearly bait set up to the uncanny untouched town where everything is too good to be true (until you see the shady underbelly). This movie is just a mash up of decent zombie movies turned into trash.
Oh I did like it when the young girl stops having her hair down, ties it back and becomes a woman in the final scenes of the film. Really solid writing that. Babies first movie film school stuff.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 22: Guns for Hire (2023)
What a waste.
Easily the weakest episode of an otherwise strong series.
Lizzo and Jack black are unnecessary, their story line and into the series is negative at best. The plot line for them is short, badly paced and very copy/paste from a million other shows that have done the same thing over the last 50 years of TV.
The ending is just as weak, the dark saber and the recruiting of mandos is a lazy subplot.
Its unfortunate that the writers of this episode decided to just completely phone it in, grogu has fallen into the back ground the the bonding between him and the mandalorian has just dropped off completely. Loosing a lot of the original charm of the series to a plot line that puts them both in the back seat.
A complete filler of an episode.
LOL: Last One Laughing Australia (2020)
Flogging a dead horse or Typical Australian TV
What do you get when you take an original funny idea that had a cast of actually famous Japanese comedians and then give it to a bunch of Australian no one knows/likes/cares about any more (sorry woodly you tapped out 20 years ago at the height of your popularity and the revival isn't working)?
You get this abortion of a TV show!
Typical cash grab Australian TV, a few washed up c grades that refuse to die and a bunch of people no one knows take a great concept and make an Australian version.
Rebel Wilson isn't a famous Australian comedian, Sam Simon just isn't a comedian and isn't famous (yeah mate, saw you on 8/10 cats years ago, same old paper flipping jokes I had to sit through at a comedy show 5 years before that wearing the exact same clothes and look- really breaking the mould and we all know your bald under that hat just man up and accept it).
And a cast of others! No actual Australian talent. No originality and not comedy.
But hey, all these people wouldn't say no to money and attention. That they are clearly starving for.
Retire, let new and original talents have a crack. Stop circling the drain and just accept being washed up.
The Lodge (2008)
Solid top stars.
1st star because it is technically a movie.
2nd star because it does have a lodge.
To sum it up, it qualifies for both being a movie and being called the lodge.
The rest is up to interpretation.
The American Meme (2018)
Stolen content.
The fat Jewish just steals and reposts other people's content. Don't know why people give him the time of day.
