Scream VI (2023)
4/10
Don't do it, please.
13 March 2023
Scream is, to me, the best slasher that has been created. I am a big fan of the movies, I've seen them all and gotta say that the people behind the franchise managed to maintain the quality in each of them (in terms of slashers movies).

Scream 6 had everything to be on the top. This Ghostface is, probably, the best one in the entire franchise. Strong, very violent (probably the most) and the mask... The mask fits so well! The tension was very well managed too when our protagonists had to face him. I liked the fact that we can see more of the 'human' side of Tara and Sam, trying to live with the psychological damage after the events of the previous film.

Then, it all goes down at the end of the movie. I am going to say just one thing, and let you think about it: Come on, are they superhumans? Why? How? Don't wanna reveal any details but seriously... that ending? Just no. I just hope for the love of God... Don't screw it up and if you ask me if I wanna see Ghostface again in a near future, I would say 'no', because I know what's going to happen.

The Boys: Nothing Like It in the World (2020)
Season 2, Episode 4
8/10
Great episode. Big reveal. Bizarre ending.
11 September 2020
Episode 4 follows our boys Hughie, Annie and Mother's Milk (I like that name) going after a Super called "Liberty", and here's a big reveal about her. Here we can dig a little in Highie and Annie's relationship, must say I enjoyed it. Stormfront and Homelander have their (first?) face to face encounter. I really want to see what's now to come between them both. Butcher goes after his, probably, only goal since the beginning... with not so much success. Really interesting episode, culminating with some bizarre content, I must say.

Banshee: We Shall Live Forever (2013)
Season 1, Episode 8
10/10
On my top 5 Banshee's favourites episodes.
4 September 2020
I watched Banshee a long time ago and still missing it so much. The work they did here is so underrated by everyone, brutally underrated. What makes me do this after this long is just a review I saw over there. To begin with, I am fan of good and quality action scenes which have some good effort on it and this exceeded my expectations. We all know that Banshee is way too bizarre and violent, and that is what makes it especial. In this episode we see a h2h fight that, when I saw it for the first time, blowed my mind off. This is what Banshee is made of. They're not looking for realism, they're looking for something exciting, something that, in the moment you're watching it, you say "damn, this people are taking it serious. This is good!". The serie's premise is not too realistic either, but I don't even care about it. I just want to see something good! Something WELL DONE. If you guys are looking for something realistic, there are plenty of shows like Breaking Bad, Homeland, The Sopranos, etc. that try to be as realistic as they can. Just enjoy Banshee for what it is: A journey of violence, sex, corruption, bad guys and hot girls, and most important, it's done perfectly.

This one proves to me that IMDb ratings could be wrong at times.
4 August 2020
For the first time ever, I decided to watch a movie without looking at IMDb's rating. What did I get? A very well made film, interesting plot and good acting. I must say that the ending was a bit disappointing, but I really enjoyed the film.

5.8 is way too low for this one, deserves a 6.5+.

Creed II (2018)
6/10
That last fight.
27 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I expected to see more reviews pointing right at the last fight scene and how unrealistic it was. I understand it's a "Creed" movie and the star is Adonis, and is expected to win... But I think they went too far in this one. There was absolutely no chance, not a single chance he could win. Drago was a monster, unstoppable and then, for some reason we don't know, he went back down the last minutes after breaking Adonis' ribs. And guess what, Creed became even stronger. I'm sorry, but I don't get it. And I wanted to get it, believe me I did.

The story was pretty good to follow, as always in Rocky's movies. So disappointed about the end.

Deep Impact (1998)
5/10
5 out of 10 just because of the ending.
18 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I always have liked this type of movies, where the main theme is about a coming natural disaster and stuff, and I'm really looking at them these days.

This one is... not bad but not good either. First, it was an interesting plot (kind of cliche, but come on, an asteroid crashing our planet is the first idea coming in mind when thinking about apocalyptic scenarios), and I think the main thing I didn't liked and made it hard to watch was the characters. Personally, no one generated anything on me, I didn't care about them and I think this was a problem. Here's the thing: When this doctor dies in the mission, no one ever talks about him, no one even cared about him and the commander guy just saying "it's okay, sit down. It's okay." WHAT? Or even Leo's parents letting him go searching for Sarah with hours left for the impact and just saying "Take care." made me wonder what the hell did the writers where thinking. The story following Jenny and her father was really boring, I didn't even care. Her performance was below average, didn't even showed emotions, I didn't feel them.

But, wait, there is a little positive I got from this. The ending. When the tripulation was about to destroy the comet and their families say goodbye. That was well portrayed by everyone, it was emotional. Just because of that scene I give it a 5 out of 10. The crashing of the first meteor was pretty impressive too.

Overall, I don't know. If you like disaster movies you can give it a go but don't expect to be mind-blowed by it. And like me, if you found the main character's stories weak, it's going to be a long journey, believe me.

Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (2019)
Season 5, Episode 3
4/10
Started off very strong. Turned up very silly.
17 December 2019
This episode had the potential to become one of the best in the entire series. It started off very dark, with interesting characters to develop... but then... what happened?

What blew my mind about this series was its sense of realism it has in every story they show, when I finish an entire episode I start to think about it, and finally end up saying: "This could really happen in our lives a couple of years later". That's what impresses me most of this amazing show. And I think that's the problem with this one. It becomes so unrealistic that after watching the entire series, it doesn't make any sense. It should not be a Black Mirror's episode at all.

Believe me, this episode could've been on top.

The Punisher: The Whirlwind (2019)
Season 2, Episode 13
10/10
Just... WOW.
25 January 2019
As season two comes to end and probably the show too, all I can say is I am shocked.

Last episode left me wondering about few things, but most of all, about Billy... The main villain?

You see, I had a couple of theories about what was going to happen on season finale: I had the hope that, after what happened to Krista, Bill would go absolutely mad and crazy and... I don't know, maybe he just wanted to cut his own face and becoming then, the real Jigsaw? Because being honest, those scars are far away from what I expected for Jigsaw's character. But no, it appears that the legendary Jigsaw was always there. Disappointment? Yes.

The episode itself drives us through action, and more action. I think I overrated Pilgrim. Definitely. Anyways, I don't want to spoiler anything, but let me tell you that I have few questions about what they did here. I guess they thought that the show was going to end? Which is probably. I don't know. But, it was a decent end if you put it like that, got to say.

So, the journey is over. If the show gets cancelled, I think it wasn't the best way to say goodbye for an awesome character as Frank Castle is.

Jigsaw beginning?
24 January 2019
The episode that leaves the door open to the season finale is mind-blowing.

As we all know, this has happened before on season one. The last few episodes put the show where it really belongs.

We got an episode filled with action and suspense.

I feel this would be a great beginning for "Jigsaw" character on Russo. Are we gonna see him on season finale? I hope so.

The Punisher: The Dark Hearts of Men (2019)
Season 2, Episode 10
10/10
Top of the season reached.
23 January 2019
Finally, the season reaches its top right here. What an episode.

I am sure this is what we all were waiting for. Bill and Frank. At the end of the episode, there is probably the best scene I've seen in the season. And no, I am not talking about action. Well played, Bill. Too bad it's too late in my country to give it another episode.

Throughout episode 10, we see Madani and Krista in a very interesting talk. There's a debate about Frank and Billy, about who is the bad and who is the good, but we all get to know why Krista called Madani, right?

Also, we see more about Pilgrim. He has an interesting story, it's a shame they waited this long to build the character a bit more.

This was my favourite yet in the season, and I feel there are more to come in the last three.

Repetitive, but still manages to stay decent.
23 January 2019
In "Flustercluck" we see both stories going on. Bill desperately looking for answers, Frank chasing him and Amy doing his part too (getting in trouble, of course).

I think this is more of a refill episode to the season, more of the same. However, there are some interesting moments that raises the tension. Average, a regular episode on this Punisher season... Disappointing I must say.

Billy Russo.
22 January 2019
Alright, there's only one thing I got to say about this one: Ben Barnes is great.

If there's something I was waiting all this time, is a connection with a character. I mean, in season one it was Frank. Jon's interpretation was fantastic. I am not saying this season he is bad, but is... Poor. He has real potential and knows how to touch your feelings, but as I said many times, there are lack of good characters to help Berthal and I think that's a step down from season one quality.

But now, Ben Barnes is showing his abilities and man... He is really good. I think the show keeps me interested because of him and his performance on screen. Great episode.

The Punisher: One Bad Day (2019)

Face to face.
22 January 2019
And here comes episode 7 of Punisher series.

This episode proves the show can stay on feet without Amy's story. I am still thinking her case should have ended on episode four or five, and then the show could have been slowly introducing Bill's stuff after that. But, anyways, as I said this episode is focused only on Bill and his first work as criminal, with Frank following his steps to finally take care of unfinished business. I liked this episode, stunning performance of Ben Barnes, really doing a good job to fit the character.

Wait for it, people. Because the end will let you wanting more.

I kinda miss a few things...
21 January 2019
The episode itself starts with Frank and Amy playing cards. Yes, you heard well: Frank Castle having fun with a liar, ungrateful, blackmailer, disrespectful kid. How is it possible? Remember that episode in season one, when Sarah's son acted like a prick and pissed off Frank? And Frank opted for scaring the hell out of him with that knife? Now tell me... Why doesn't he do the same? Instead of that, he enjoys her company. My God! He even talked about his family, about her daughter with Amy! As far as I remember, in season one, the only time Frank talked about his son was to Karen on that bridge scene.

I think they messed up this season by putting that character and what bothers me most is that they are trying to build a connection between them. And no, that's absolutely ridiculous. They are so different. And watching Frank act like that, makes me wonder... What did they do to this season?

Yeah, Amy's story gives us a pretty cool action scenes but nothing more... It's cool for a filling short story to the season's main topic, but should have ended in two or maybe three episodes.

You know what I miss? I miss Micro, I miss Karen, Lewis and even Sarah... They were great characters. I miss those heart-touching talking moments we had with Frank. We got nothing yet, and I think it's disappointing because that's what made The Punisher different to other shows.

I am really hoping for a decent character to show up, I think the season needs it.

Welcome, Bill!
20 January 2019
Okay, I think I am the one who's wrong here. This was the best episode yet in the season for me, but it got a lower rating than the first three.

Reading the title itself, you can imagine what it's going to be about... and yes. It is about Billy. Our beloved Billy Russo! Oh, man... I'm starting to have my doubts about him, did he really lost his memory? Anyways, I feel this is a good start for the character.

On the other hand, we have Frank, "Rachel" and a Madani looking for revenge at all cost. Also, we get to know more about the girl but in my opinion, still not that interesting. Billy saved this episode, I am really curious about him.

Still strong, but...
20 January 2019
I don't know if its just me or there's something this season is missing.

Let's get back to season one. Action, perfect acting and... Interesting characters.

In S1 we had Micro. He fit'd perfectly the rol and chemistry with Frank was great. And here... I don't see that. I see this girl and no one else. I can't get into her story, I don't like her. Is it only me?

Alright, about the episode... I've seen this before in other shows. We got the main characters inside a prison and the bad guys are outside, targeting them. But of course, they don't know the main character is called Frank Castle. Average, a good episode, but still missing that chemistry I've been talking about.

It is just starting... got a weird feeling about it.
19 January 2019
Episode two of season two of The Punisher.

After a killer season premiere, where we see our Frank helping a girl in serious trouble, we got here: Frank dealing with a rebel and annoying kid.

Yeah, it's been only two episodes and this mysterious girl already pissed me off too many times. All we know is it's all about some photos the kid has, and the people who are trying to catch her is big. Nothing more. Madani and Billy are back on this one, and I am really curious about Bill this time and what's really in his mind.

As we all know, the first season was amazing but it went slow at the middle of it and I has the feeling this is going to happen again. Too bad, right? Plus, my God that kid... I hope they solve this story quick and later center only on Jigsaw.

Brutal.
19 January 2019
And finally Frank is back.

I am a big fan of this series, I admit it. I've been waiting for this to come since I ended watching season one.

First thing first, I am just starting with the season as I watched episodes one and two only. I'm gonna put it into one word: Brutal.

We start with a scene where Frank is driving his van with a mysterious girl (watched the trailer? No, I didn't) and it seems they are being chased by two cars. And then, you can imagine what happens when one of them block the highway ahead. And that my friends, is music to our ears.

Time has passed, and Frank is there. Traveling, listening to blues and trying (or not) to forget his past. And of course, helping people who are in need... You know what that means, right? And then, this mysterious girl appears, and seems she's in serious trouble with serious people.

Nothing more to say, fellas. You know what to expect when you see Frank in action. Be careful, people... because Frank doesn't care whether you're a guy or a girl when you mess with him. You'll see.

We missed you, Frank. Welcome back.

Daredevil: Blindsided (2018)

This is what you call masterpiece.
24 October 2018
This season our hero started a bit slow, with a broken Matthew trying to find himself after the events that ocurrs in Defenders. Foggy and Karen trying to deal with the ausence of their best friend and Wilson Fisk, working with the FBI.

Everything starting slow but promising. "Blindsided" is what I was waiting for, here the story is starting to build itself. New reveals, great cinematography, and fighting scene.

God bless that fight scene. Coreography and cinematography at its best. This is what Daredevil is. This season has the potential to be the best of the best and this episode proves it.

One of the best TV shows this year.
19 October 2018
I'm gonna be honest, this is the first time I watch a horror show. There are of course interesting purposes from Netflix like Stranger Things, Dark, The Mist, but I have to say that none of them grabbed my interest like this one after watching the trailer.

There's not much to say about it, but I can for sure recommend this if you like well written, dark and interesting stories. Enjoy it.

Marvel's The Punisher: "Kandahar"
2 December 2017
"Kandahar" is one of the darkest episodes in this series. It is mostly centered in Frank's memories of his team in Afganistan. What I love about this series is the character development, perhaps a bit slow for some, but for me, it is done perfectly as you'll see in "Kandahar". We got to meet a new character, David Lieberman, a hacker who calls himself "Micro". We got to know more about him, as to why he is interested on Frank, as both stories are connected. Also, in this episode we're introduced to what seems to be another new character who looks that gonna be important here. All in all, "Kandahar" is one of the best episodes in the season, very dark and interesting as I said above, due to new characters development. And let me tell you something, it ends with one of the best fight scenes I've seen since Daredevil. So, as you see, you will not be disappointed.

I really like how this series is going, and seems we are just beginning the journey.

Realistic and violent, Punisher does it well...
17 November 2017
To be honest, I've watched only the first two episodes, but I think that's enough to say this to you: Marvel's The Punisher is not what you expect. There's no superpowers (at least for now, I hope it keeps that way), no non-sense action, no Daredevil, no Defenders. I hope that is enough to warn you about this series. This is a action-drama series, realistic and very violent (from what I've seen). And to me is, along with Daredevil, the best of Marvel on Netflix. I've warned you, if you want to see something related with superheroes or guys fighting to save the city cliché, go watch Defenders or some other Marvel's shows. This is mostly about conspiration and revenge.

An awesome story, the sad reality of today's world.
30 December 2015
Yeah, maybe I am a bit late reviewing this movie, but I had to.

This movie got my attention long time ago, but I just couldn't see it when it got released in 2013.

It was a great story about a broken relationship of a son and his father. Dialogs are pretty much everything in the movie. Catches your attention in every moment till' the end of it.

Acting was just fabulous. Characters are so well played that I even felt identified with them.

There's one thing that catched my attention too, it was that this movie shows how interested the people is, and it's sad to say it, but unfortunately we are that way and always gonna be. Coming back to the movie, it is even funny at some times. So if you've not seen it yet (witch is probably wrong) or you are thinking of watching it and for some reason you are here and see my review, I strongly recommend this movie to you.

Best of the saga 9/10
22 November 2015
Waiting for this movie release and its finally here. "The hunger games: Mockingjay Part 2" follows Katniss Everdeen on her last and probably hardest battle ever. This is a film which follows the same concept of the first part, this means that its a good dramatic and intense movie, and if you loved every part of the saga as I did, you will consider this film as one of the best. Jennifer Lawrence's acting seems improved in every movie , I really liked her acting on the last two. So, my conclusion is a very dramatic and intense movie that will leave you waiting for more, but sadly the saga is over. Don't miss this one. 9 out of 10. Great movie.

Can't wait to see the Part 2.
29 November 2014
If you are expecting the same movie you've seen the past year, you are not gonna like this one. There are no Games this time. As you seen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Katniss destroyed the forcefield and Games were cancelled.

So the movie is centered on Katniss as The Mockingjay, the new hope for the Districts to do what they wanted for years, a rebellion against the Capitol. You will see a good movie if you are a fan, and we wont be able to see much action scenes on this one, but that's not important because if you are a fan, the movie will keep you entertained in every moment.

Loved the CGI and acting. Ending scene was absolutely fantastic, I just can't wait to see the Part 2.

Giving a 8. If you are a fan, you will enjoy it for sure.
