Horror fans always want original, new ideas. We tire of the constant remakes (even if we do secretly root for a genuine revival of our past favs). This is a film that should be celebrated for taking elements of the old and creating something fresh and new. The found footage, documentary style, slasher, with a cleaver twist. It's fun, tongue in check at the begging, but then becomes a different movie in the third act. Die hard horror fans will enjoy this movie tremendously. A few genre legends of past make an appearance, while new faces impressively hold Their own. This is a rare gem of a horror movie.
