The movie is bad. There's no denying that. The dialogue is weird. The directing is strange, to say the least. The camera does a weird shaky thing every now and then. The imaginary friend's makeup doesn't make any sense. And the acting is... ok.

BUT The movie is surprisingly entertaining. After the first 15 min, I didn't see myself watching this movie all the way through but it seems I was captivated. The story is an interesting and original take on a fantasy that has been written about over and over.

I'd very much like to see this movie remade with the proper budget and director that the story deserves.

As with every horror flick, I went in with very looooowww expectations but, my god, this one blew me away. No, it's no Film Of The Year but for what it is- a movie meant to scare- it was beyond clever. The twists and turns will make your head spin and made me, personally, audibly gasp at least 3 times. I've come across very VERY few horror movies with this amount of depth and effort put into the plot. I even teared up a few times. It was beautiful, sad, intriguing, AND creepy. I highly recommend this film for everyone, including non-horror fans, who are able to stand a few jumps.

I've seen a few of Rebecca Hall's films now and this one solidified, for me, what others have been saying. She's the new queen of horror.

I had no idea what this movie was about and was in NO WAY expecting it to be as incredible as it is. The acting was phenomenal, the costumes were beautiful, the special effects were perfection, the story had me laughing and crying at the same time. I cannot recommend this one enough.

As a recovering addict, this movie obviously struck a nerve. Most addiction movies focus solely on the user but this film was truly about the addict's mother and the effect her daughter's drug use had on her. I thought it was lovely. However, I think they really missed the chance to spread more helpful information before, throughout, and after the movie had ended. Even to just add a helpline number would've been nice. I still recommend though.

I don't understand how this movie got such low ratings. Sure the CGI wasn't great but the story was solid. It breaks your heart and builds you back up. I think it's a great movie for anyone dealing with any kind of grief. Recommend.

I've seen some weird/bad movies in my time, but I don't even know what this movie was. Not one bit of this movie made sense. Maybe I'm not "deep" enough to understand it but I cannot FATHOM how anyone could rate this more than 2 stars. And I could only understand giving it the second star because of how hard it made me laugh. A24, what are you even doing?

I was extremely into this until the last 2 episodes. It's funny and clever but omg that ending was so meh. A big letdown. Maybe if there's a second season, the show will redeem itself in my eyes.

Was it a comedy? Was it a drama? Was it a fantasy? Idfk but it was incredible. The acting, the casting, the story, the jokes, the tragedies. This movie had everything. HIGHLY recommend a watch.

I am sorry to say that I used to hate this movie for its sexual nature and because I was very jealous of Megan Fox. However, as an adult who loves horror, comedy, and can appreciate a sexy lady, this is funny as hell. I get it and I love it.

Holy hell! I've seen HUNDREDS of bad horror movies but wow. Nothing about this movie was good. The plot, the acting, the characters, the script, even the editing was bad!! It's a netflix top 10 and someone's gotta get fired over this disaster.

I had very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The story was interesting, but there are A LOT of unanswered questions. The special effects were pretty good and the ending was...decent.

While there are some aspects of the relationship of these two young women that are left unaddressed, and some questions left unanswered, this movie is VERY important. I love it very much and would absolutely recommend it to any young adult.

It's probably a necessary scare for some teens (and adults). Definitely a messed up movie but I think the writer and director had good intentions.

Everyone is upset about it not paying enough tribute to the original movie but...it's a remake, guys. The entire point is to tweak the story here and there to create a new story with the same message for the next generation. I thought it was adorable. However, the witch mouths might be too scary for children under 10-12.

It's super relatable and the acting is solid. The effects aren't horrible either. I enjoyed the movie and I recommend it.

This movie was awesome. I didn't really know anything about it going in and the whole time, I was trying to figure out if it was a comedy or a thriller. Turns out, it's pretty much both. I love the cast and everything about the movie was so bizarre, I really don't know how anyone could dislike it. Highly recommended.

While the animation wasn't exactly up-to-par with most other major CGI movies of the last few years, I thought the story was very captivating and the animals were so funny. I don't understand why people aren't liking the movie. I recommend.

I love this show. Everyone's so nice even though it's a competition and I smile throughout every episode. Also Amy Poeler and Nick Offerman are so cute and funny. It's so refreshing to see a family-friendly, lighthearted, competitive reality show. Highly recommend.

As someone who struggles with addiction, (and who hates sitcoms) I'm so grateful that this show exists. I've never seen the fight portrayed so perfectly. It's not easy to make such a painful and life-ruining disease funny but they manage it and it's honestly what convinced me to start going to meetings. Thank you for Mom.

I loved this show as a kid but I started watching it again a few weeks ago as a 28-year-old woman and it's so much better than I could have understood back then. Very few cartoons address hardcore, painful issues that some kids are exposed to. Everything from bullying and body issues to addiction and mental health is covered. All while maintaining a positive and uplifting atmosphere. It's one of the best kid's shows I've ever seen and I wish it got more credit. I'll be watching this show with my grandchildren.

Not gonna lie, I super foolishly expected a medieval Futurama and that's probably why it took me a second to get into this one but forreal, this show completely stands on its own. The acting and casting is solid, and the story is intricate and original. I also love that the jokes go from subtle to in-your-face in an instant. Definitely one of my favourites. Don't miss out.
