The Midnight Club (2022)
Begining>>>Ending
The beginning of this series was so great and promising but the ending was so bad. You would actually lose interest by the time you have reached the 6th or 7th episode. There were a lot of cliff hangers in the first few episodes but they never pan out, instead they are pushed to the side and left hanging for season 2! There are no explanations for Ilonka and Kevin's visions and how they are tied together, so you see everything is left hanging. But the stories of the midnight club was actually good and I was actually dying to find more about "angel porn". Other than that there were some good jump scared and thrilling anticipation for something to be happening which also never actually happens in the end.
A great built up to a disappointing ending.. I don't think I'm sticking around for season 2.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)
One of the greatest!!
This is without doubt one of the best series Star Wars franchise can offer. I held it off as a kids show knowing it was canon and everything. But at last I have completed this masterpiece and this has by far the best possible ending. The execution order of 66 is such grand and such evil how can someone call it a kids show!
I started it when I was basically a child and have completed it as an adult. The most cunning and graceful character development is of Ahsoka Tano. Through out the series, the fun loving, action seeker Ahsoka grows up to be a mature and sensible Jedi master(all though not officially). The fall of great General Anakin Skywalker is very clear and heartbreaking(he is my most favourite character). Every piece of information missing from the movies of star wars was beautifully portraited through out the series. Im in just awe finishing the series.
13 Reasons Why (2017)
Rating 9/10 and I recommend it but beware,
Teenage drama at its best. Captivating story, compelling you to watch episode after episode but it ultimately leads to a teenage girl "Drama queen" unable to handle her life and taking her own life at the end(or the beginning of the series). In other movies or series you see people getting bullied; they fall down but get up. But not here, here is a girl who fell so deep and so down, she can't help herself get back up again. A girl who lost it all because of her own bad decisions and of course the bullies also provoked her. But at the end, it was her choice to end it and that's all.
In other movies or TV series, the drama queens are the bad guys(usually) and so its right for you to hate them, I mean come on they are bad guys right? But a Hannah Baker our lead actress is the drama queen here and so you can not but feel bad for her. Yes, she was bullied real bad but as you progress through the series you will see that everyone is helpless in life in certain issues. And they all deal with it, not ending their life in the process.
Spoiler alert....
In early episodes, you see how Hannah goes for the 'Bad Boys' and repeatedly gets abused in someway. But she kept on going for them, and its on her. She insults Zach(when he proposed to her), one of the good guys who was kind to her in her worst of days but as she later finds out Zach was actually good she said sorry. She later stated on the tapes that Zach should've let it go but she didn't. She talks about the "Butterfly effect" but doesn't follow it on her own. Hannah and Sheri after the accident, had a lot of talks about doing the right thing. Hannah even blames Sheri for it and put her names on the tapes but she herself doesn't do a thing about it because she is afraid.
Basically, it's just typical teenage drama bullshit, how Hannah Baker star of the show wants attention and everything. I mean this girl really has issues, like a bunch of them and trust me you will get tired listening to them. But the style of story telling is captivating as hell.
Moral of the story: Don't judge people till you know their story, in fact don't judge people at all.
The Barber (2014)
Alcohol says something about a man before the man says something about himself...!!!
My review will differ quite much from the others. I don't why this movie is so low rated..!! Yes, I think the ratings should be higher.
The movie slowly advances while revealing the characters true motivations with twisting at every corner. I have to say that, I haven't see some of the things coming. As the movie moves slowly, audience can get a little bored but the climax makes up for it fully.
"The watch trick" is something I truly liked. It was inevitable that a women will respond to it. 'The barber' has a charming and respectable appearance attracting "yummy" women.
The movie in total gives a view that it's the quite and innocent guys you won't see coming... ;)
The Awakening (2011)
A must watch Horror Film
If you want to get scared, wet your pants than the movie is not up to it. But to feel the horror, the anxiety, the stress it's a much watch film. It takes turn quite a few times and I couldn't get a clue what to expect next.
The movie has many angels as a unique movie. Most horror films are remake of previous films, or at least made out from an idea of those films. But it is a unique as well as twisting one. The horror tactics were genuine and scary. You will not know what to expect as the movie goes on. Rebecca Hall as Florence Cathcart did an extraordinary job to make and keep the movie alive. Dominic West also played his part very well. All together it's one of the best horror films I have ever seen.
