Farha (2021)
Captivating!
Decided to finally watch this, didn't regret it one bit. If you're expecting a political film, this is not it. This was a raw and emotional account of how a young Palestinian girl lost everything near and dear to her and how her aspirations of becoming a teacher and opening a girls school in her village were destroyed due to the events of the Nakba.
It was filmed very well with brilliant cinematography and amazing sound design. The primary protagonist was great and the overall acting was very convincing.
Definitely worth a watch!
Be aware that this film has some tear jerking moments, it is the unfortunate reality of what occured in Palestine.
The Shadow (2019)
Thoroughly Enjoyed This!!
A great little short about a woman seeking some spiritual advice in regards to her sons possession, don't want to spoil too many details but the cinematography and sound design were great.
Great narrative and it did keep me on the edge, there is also an anxious flashback scene which worked very well.
I didn't expect a shocking horror film, it was much better and it definitely had me thinking about past experiences, the acting was also convincing.
The ending will have you put all the pieces together and leave you with the creeps.
Would love to see more stories like this, maybe a series of short-films or even a full series based on this!!!
Shûmatsu no Valkyrie (2021)
Flashback of Ragnarok
Decent story line but every fight MUST contain flashbacks which just ruins the flow of each battle. If you're going to watch this, get ready for many many origin story and lore flashback sequences.
