The Twelve (2022)
Two episodes in and I'm hooked
I must admit I wasn't sold on this but thought why not.
It slowly delves into the personal relationships of the jurors who are over seeing the murder of a young 14 year old girl whose auntie is on trial for the crime.
I'm not usually a Brooke Satchwell fan at all, and I'm actually enjoying her in this.
The relationships are slow winding, and 2 eps it I think it'll be a ripper. I thoroughly enjoyed Mare of Eastown 'feels' a lot like that.
The Old Guard (2020)
Absolutely loved this!
If you like Vampire like shows and movies, this has a modern take on that genre, and certainly isn't what I was expecting.
I'm praying for a sequel as I haven't enjoyed a movie for quite some time. And don't understand some of the bad reviews, it's sci-fi.
Motherland: Fort Salem (2020)
I actually enjoyed this, and don't understand the scathing reviews.
I'm unclear why the scathing reviews. I rather enjoyed it (only the first episode) I don't mind a bit of sci-fi, and likes the different take on witches.
I will continue to watch it, if it remains to this level.
And it's simple, if you don't like sci-fi, don't waste your time.
Outlander (2014)
Loved loved loved it
I was a little apprehensive but a little excited at the same time when I heard this was being made into a series.
I have read and re read the books many times, and the first episode did not disappoint. I enjoyed watching Claire and Jamie, and their initial interactions and I think the chemistry was already there? Or is that just the avid/excited fan talking.
If you haven't read the books, I do think you would still be able to follow the story line, and hopefully the same quality of story lines runs throughout this series.
I don't know how I am going to wait until next week
