Euphoria (2019)
Zero Substance
Adults pretending to be teens getting naked, having sex, and doing drugs every episode. Thats it. That's literally the whole show. Nothing they do is even remotely relatable to actual teens in the real world. Its more like: "Look at these cool kids doing whatever they want in a world where adults are basically nonexistent! Don't YOU teens want to go to a school where you can dress half naked, have sex, do drugs and no one cares??" The acting is good, but god the show is terrible.
The Lodge (2019)
How stupid is this man??
This guy has an affair, which drives his wife to suicide, then he makes his devastated children go on a cabin trip with the mistress he's since decided to marry soon after their mothers funeral.... Then he leaves them alone with her to go back to the city for work during the holidays?? What a brilliant idea. Great judgment on his part as a psychiatrist. Totally realistic.
The Hunt (2020)
Anyone who takes this movie seriously is exactly who this movie is making fun of
Reading all these conflicting comments is hilarious..."It's bashing liberals, this is awesome!" "No! This movie is horrible because it's for liberals and makes conservatives look bad!" "NO, it's bad because it makes liberals look bad!!" Well, in reality, it's a satirical movie about how people on both sides of the political spectrum can be garbage humans. The movie has liberals killing conservatives, then conservatives killing liberals. Both parties are exaggerated with all the typical dumb stereotypes, and both sides are equally made fun of with characters that act like idiots. Anyone who thinks this movie is "sticking it to those darn liberals/conservatives!" are the exact people this movie is making fun of.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Nothing like the first two
I was wondering why this one was so bad compared to the first two movies, which were actually pretty good. Then I noticed it was a different director and different writers, and all my questions were answered. Not a good movie.
The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open (2019)
Extremely boring with little substance
I like slow burn movies, but this one had absolutely nothing going for it. The entire thing has such little dialogue for a nearly 2 hour movie that I would skip whole chunks where the characters were just gazing out a window for 5 minutes contemplating life, or just sitting around not interacting hardly at all. I couldn't find any trace of a real story and by the end I was confused about what the whole point of it really was. If it was suppose to highlight the importance of seeking help in an abusive relationship, it failed miserably.
Supernatural (2005)
The show isn't homophobic. Get over yourselves.
This show had an enormous cult following for years. Most die hard fans in the fandom loved it, and would literally threaten people online who said anything bad about it. That is, until it didn't end exactly how they wanted it to. Now people are saying to boycott the whole show for being "homophobic" and hoping the actors/producers never work again. The show as a whole had its ups and downs for sure, but it was very good overall. The finale IS horrible, I wont dispute that, but to call it homophobic and demand blood just because it didn't end with two male characters getting together when neither character was even gay in the first place is the stupidest thing I've ever heard (not to mention the show had other openly gay beloved characters throughout). Hate the finale for a million other reasons involving the writing, but that shouldn't be one of them. The actors did an amazing job over these last 15 years, and they don't deserve this crap.
The Dead Don't Die (2019)
Subtle Humor At It's Best
This isn't an action packed movie, it's a Bill Murray doing whatever he wants and having fun with it movie. I thought it was hilarious, but it is a more subtle comedy that not everyone will like. The story was a little all over the place, but that was just part of the joke, like how they kept breaking the 4th wall. It's got a full A list cast that all did a good job, and watching Bill Murray act like classic Bill Murray was all the entertainment I needed.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Not Really Understanding the Few Negative Reviews
Super entertaining with great acting and a great story. In regards to the negative comments calling it anti-christian and political....I really have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I actually tried pretty hard to remember any sort of politcal undertone or any jab at christianity. I thought maybe I missed something or just didn't pay enough attention, but I honestly could not find/think of a single instance in the show where that happened. Not sure what show they were watching, but it wasn't this one.
Unplanned (2019)
The Real Abby Took a Bribe
The real Abby Johnson was offered multiple payments of $3,000 by Shawn Carney if she made up a good story about her clinic for pro-life speaking gigs (she openly admitted to this, look it up). She admitted to her boss at the clinic that she was offered this deal and explained through multiple emails that she was going to take it because she was going through bankruptcy. She also changed her original story multiple times when people pointed out inconsistencies, and there is no record at her clinic of her ever being in any room for an abortion in the first place (again, look it up).....not to mention she has had two abortions herself (AGAIN look it up!) All that and people still believe this blatant lie she made up for money?? Absolutely ridiculous.
The Prodigy (2019)
Pretty Decent Horror Movie
There are a lot of bad reviews, but you know what? The acting was great from everyone, especially the kid who did a great job.The story is a stretch (as all horror movie plots are), but it made sense overall and never took any liberties that were TOO crazy or silly. The characters were also pretty smart for being in a horror movie, none of them did any really illogically stupid things. The worst part of the whole thing was the ending, which sucks, but hey it was still entertaining.
Cargo (2017)
These reviews are from movie snobs!
Some of the reviews here are extremely harsh on this movie. This movie is an adaptation of a 7 minute short film, was produced by netflix, didn't have a huge budget, and they still managed to create a fansastic film with incredible acting and a heartwarming, if tragic, storyline. This is not an oscar worthy film and wasnt created under the same standers as some of these comments seem to believe, but it was definitely worth the watch. If you want an exciting, emotional story about a parent's devotion to his child amidst the end of the world, give this movie a shot!
