It Happened in Flatbush (1942)
Great movie
I remember this movie when I was a kid. It is considered a lost movie but I taped it of my satellite dish last summer. and I am glad I have it. Other than appearing on a satellite channel it is impossible to acquire.. Carole Landis played a great part but it is sad that she died so young. The baseball scenes are great especially when the Dodgers win the pennant. Carole Landis' reaction at this moment is so special! Lloyd Nolan who played in the movie A Tree Grows In Brooklyn with the greatest actress who ever lived Peggy Ann Garner did a great job in this movie. It Happened in Flatbush is considered a lost film but I am glad I own a copy and I am also thankful that I have the memories of this great movie!
Bomba: The Jungle Boy (1949)
Bomba was great! and so was my little angel-Peggy Ann Garner!
Bomba the Jungle Boy was an average movie but what made it great was the appearance of my little angel Peggy Ann Garner. She was 17 years old when this movie was made and her greatness was shown through her acting ,her beautiful eyes and her unique smile. Peggy Ann could act in any kind of movie be it comedy, drama, film noir or any kind of movie that existed. My little Peggy Ann is not with us any longer having left us on Tuesday, October 16,1984 but thank God we still have her through her movies. I am lucky enough to own a very rare copy of Bomba the Jungle Boy having secured it in England and when I view this rare movie and any other other Peggy Ann movies I fall in love with her all over again. God bless my little angel Peggy Ann Garner.
Teresa (1951)
My Peggy Ann appeared in this movie.
Although Pier Angeli appeared in this movie this long lost film also starred my angel Peggy Ann Garner. My Peggy Ann was only 19 year old when she appeared but one could tell that she was an accomplished star. If she did not say one word all you had to do is look into the eyes of my angel and you would know that Peggy Ann was a star. Peggy Ann and Pier were born the same year-1932 but Pier died in 1971. My Angel PEGGY Ann passed away on Tuesday evening October 16,1984. When my angel Peggy Ann passed Hollywood died. Peggy Ann and Pier are gone but they will never forget that long lost movie Teresa which they starred a long time ago. God bless Pier and my angel Peggy Ann Garner.
Junior Miss (1945)
Junior Miss is the Best
Next to A tree Grows in Brooklyn Junior Miss is Peggy Ann Garner's greatest production! If she did not say one word in her movies she would speak to us using her beautiful eyes. Her talent is second to none and she has earned the respect of all of her fans who knew and loved her. My Peggy Ann is gone having left this world on Tuesday,October 16,1984 but she will live in my heart forever. There is only one Peggy Ann Garner and my love and respect for her will never die. I own all of her movies but I am really trying to find any tapes that exist of her long lost TV series Two Girls Named Smith which appeared on Saturadys at 12 P.M.on ABC.God bless you, my angel and you will always have my love.
Two Girls Named Smith (1951)
Where is the long lost TV series Two Girls Named Smith?
I own all of the movies and television appearances of the great Peggy Ann Garner-except one Two Girls Named Smith. It appeared on January 20,1951 and Peggy Ann left the series in September 1951 in order to spend more time with her husband Hichard Hayes. The show disappeared on October 13,1951 and it has never reappeared. It was rated in the top 5 of all Saturday afternoon shows. It was shown on ABC television at 12 P.M. It seems that after my Peggy Ann left the show it dropped in popularity. I only own one still picture of this show which shows my Peggy Ann with Peggy French but nothing else.If only this show would resurface it would be a treasure indeed. My angel Peggy Ann left this world on Tuesday evening October 16,1984 and she and her only television series are gone forever. How sad.
Nob Hill (1945)
Peggy Ann Garner is the best
My angel Peggy Ann Garner was, is and always will be the greatest actress who ever lived. Her immortal performance in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn will live forever, but her performance in Nob Hill ranks right along side Tree. Peggy Ann's cute little Irish accent will never be forgotten. Even George Raft knew how great Peggy Ann was when he co-starred with her in Nob Hill. This movie is very hard to find today- It is never shown on television but it can be found on Ebay if you are lucky. I love Peggy Ann Garner and she will always be my little angel! Peggy Ann is not with us anymore having died on Tuesday, October 16,1984 but she will always live in my heart through her great performances.
GOD BLESS YOU,SWEETHEART!
The Real McCoys Reunion (2000)
The Real Mc Coys-A great show.
I loved The Real Mc Coys (1957-1963) It is too bad that Lydia Reed has decided to be forgotten and not appear. She was excellent in the show. Of course Walter Brennan was great as well as Tony Martínez. I loved it when he called Amos Señor Grampa.I have purchased Season I on DVD and I cannot wait to buy Seasons 2-6.If only there would be more shows on television like this one, everything would be better. This show appeared briefly in the summer of 1999 but then disappeared. God bless all the departed members of the cast and please,Llydia Reed, make yourself known again to the public. You are loved and respected. The Real Mc Coys will live forever.
UPDATE! I have just purchased seasons 5 and 6 of THE REAL MC COYS. I wish that Luke would have married Louise (JANET DA GORE) in the last episode. I TRULY MISS LYDIA REED!
Naked City: Button in the Haystack (1961)
The Great Peggy Ann Garner
I share your passion of Peggy Ann Garner. What a talent she was. It is too bad that she had to leave this earth on Octoiber 16,1984. She had a very hard life but no one will ever forget her in her classic performance A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. She was an angel in this movie. I have the book Plain Beautiful The Life Of Peggy Ann Garner . I recommend it to anyone who loves Peggy. She is gone but she will never be forgotten. As an adult she had memorable roles but her angelic expression as a child actress will be in our hearts and long as life exists. I own a rare video clip of Peggy talking to Bob Hope the night she won the Oscar for A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. God bless Peggy Ann Garner.
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945)
The Best Movie Ever Produced
I make it my business to watch a Tree Grows In Brooklyn at least once a month. It is the greatest movie ever produced. Peggy Ann Garner is an angel-until the day she passed away at the tender age of 52.She was perfect for the role of Francie. Her soft spoken voice and her story telling eyes made her an angel.Peggy is gone but her memory will live forever in her immortal movie A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. Peggy had a very hard personal life but her proudest moment came when she received the Academy Award for the best child actress of 1945. That night she took her trophy to bed with her. Peggy died on October 16,1984 at the tender age of 52. To this day no one knows the location of her trophy. What a collectors item that is. I shall always keep Peggy's memory alive. She was, is and always will be my angel!
Mister Peepers (1952)
Mr. Peepers,A great show!
I recently bought a DVD of the Mr.Peepers show- that long forgotten TV show which ran from 1952-1955. When I was a child I do not remember anything about this show and it was never in reruns. But in 2006 the DVD appears.
Wally Cox who died on February 15,1973 at the age of 48 was a shy little man who was very soft spoken. He was a science teacher in Jeffrson City (Missouri?)and all of his students loved him for his intelligence and caring attitude.I am also a teacher (34 years and counting) and I truly admire Mr.Robinson J. Peepers. The late Tony Randall was also part of the show as Mr.Peepers' friend.Their chemistry worked very well together and led the show to run very smoothly.
Wally Cox is gone now as well as his long forgotten show but it will live on with the DVDS and the memory of what television was in a nicer time on this earth.Thank You Robinson J.Peepers!
VOLUME 2 IS COMING OUT VERY SOON!
