Marriage Story (2019)
A good movie, not a must see
Good script, ok story, a bit long for the plot. The couples should have had these talks before they got a child, since thats what me and my wife had. Talk about evrtything in your relationship and your marriage will never come to this end. Since I didn't learn anything or had a revelation the movie doesn't deserve more than a 7 rating. Great acting though.
The Lion King (2019)
Jordan Peterson
It's funny, the CGI is amazing in this movie and the team should earn a 10 star, however the leader who told them to make this movie realistic should work at Starbucks next. I'll give CGI team a 10 star and Disney and their leaders a 0, they've completely forgot what makes a great movie.
I genuinly think watching Jordan Petersons Carl Ljung analysis of the original Lion King on youtube are waaaaaay more interesting than this movie, even for my future children... I rather explain Jordans perspective adapted to a give year old than letting my kids waste time on this movie.
Whay happened to psychology in the world? The old Disney nailed the archetypes, the new are just clueless and greedy. Sorry Disney but it's 2019, people know you're buying successful stuff and messing them up, lucky Pixar still has guts to stand up to you..
And no Disney, people aren't stupid to fall for this for too many movies, there are 24 hours in a day anf people won't waste it when there are so many other great things to watch, some on Netflix, some on HBO and a lot of stuff that is free on youtube and has wsy better points than your new remakes. You're killing yourself on greed. Why am I telling you this? Cause I'm mad? No. I tell you this cause I care, I care that you're losing thr great people who actually made your movies great, jusy because you're stubborn and greedy. It shines through. If you actually dubbled the budget for this movie to make it just as great as the original, people would buy it and watch it for years. Now you see it once and miss the original.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Amazing
Quentin has made many great movies and this isn't the best one, how ever it was amazing. The story is a bit dull and not super interesting but you really connect with the characters and the atmosphere. I love how QT makes you like characters and truly care for them, it's a long movie sure, but it's a lot better then the fast-food movies and series we've got from Hollywood for the past few years, sure Endgame was a great ending to the series and Greenbook was amazing, but QT brings his style and does a great job at it. If people complain that it was a long movie to wait for a "meh" ending, what was GoT? I loved this movie, the characters, the music, the acting, the merch and I will watch it many times in th future.
It's however not a movie for fast-food people.
Aladdin (2019)
What did I watch?
Terrible acting, terrible cast. Jasmine is not even a persian actor.
The plot compared to the original to the animated is a complete remake of something that were already amazing.
Compared to the animated movie, the facial expressions said so much. I feel like Disney totally lost what's real and put all money on Will Smith, Guy Richie and CGI to think it makes a better movie. This isn't the case, in order to make something great, the acting has to be on spot, the story is super important and the feelings of the acting has to be touching.
When watching this movie, I didn't feel anything. Aladdin is suppose to get you to cry since his a struggeling poor boy who lives on the streets and steels stuff to stay alive. Not this high school musical bs where you think a pretty boy is gonna make up for it. The wideangle is also wrong for this format. A higher mm filmed movie would not show as much of the background, but rather the actors expression, just like the animated movie. THAT'S WHAT WE LIKED WITH THE ORIGINAL, the expressions and feelings between the characters.
I didn't feel like Aladdin or Jasmine had a love connection at all in this movie. People who know love knows this. You know the look you get from someone who loves you? Like a parent. best friend or a partner? That look, wasn't there in ANY of the x-frames of this movie. In the animated it was there every second.
I feel like Disney lost their touch to what made great films. People don't care if you spend 1000000 million dollars on CGI unless the feeling are there. It's funny cause I think you could make a better Aladdin with 10% of the cost of this movie if you actually knew what people like. That's why youtube and other platforms take over even this "well produced" material, people don't care about low budget when the feelings you touch are genuine and is something you can relate to.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Game of Wasted Time
All my friends and girlfriend has told me to watch game of thrones for 8 seasons. In season 7 I started and finnished everything in wait for season 8. I've always though that game of thrones probably has a real depth to it and the books probably have. The issue I've had with watching the first season is that even in the first scene the buildup is towards the end.
My view on expectations is that if you have really high expectations they can't be satisfied unless you have a true core value of being the way you are. I personally love core values and reasons for every decision made by any character. Now, the reason behind the Night King (what lurks in the shadows) is to erase human history, however this is not a true value, the value could be anything from beaty to what's morally correct in terms of the worlds best. This hasn't been explained in this episode, nor season 8 so far.
Now the reasons for all well developed characters in this series has led to this. This episode doesn't reflect any core value of the characters that die or to the person who kills them, it doesn't say why the characters are acting like they are, just a few grimases. The deaths of main characters were totally onworthy. It reflected love, but not their core value in terms of stubborness nor inner will. Instead we got a tear dropping from Cerseis eye and that's it..
This episode also felt like a walk in the park for Danny compared to the battle against the Night King. She basically had zero challange and just went mental. "Mad Queen" sure, but it does not reflect why she's a tyrant fighting off tyranny. It's like watching the best football team in the world playing against crying 5 year olds, when the game was advertised to 10 years. Such a disappointment.
If they don't explain the reasons behind Bran, Night King, Cerseis core values and Dannys tyranni in the next episode, this series is just a waste of money and time.
At this point I rather see Bran telling Jon he has to become the new Night King in order to take down Danny for "the disease of humanity is tyranni", kill her and then sitting on the throne as a Night King with every character in the series being a zombie, it would be a better end than what probably is about to come.
Ricky Gervais: Humanity (2018)
The self awareness of Ricky
It's funny when Ricky is saying you can joke about anything in this talk, he doesn't mention that you can't joke about animals, even if the target of the joke is your moral self for being stupid for eating meat. If you want to get blocked by Ricky on twitter, simply joke about how cute animals are and also how delicious they are to eat. He can't take this, even though "you can joke about anything"
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Here we go again
If you enjoy special effects and a story filled with corny jokes, oh wait, there is no story, just corny jokes and special effects then look no further.
It's like going to the movies and watching 2.5h long ad for Audi, Skype and Samsung. Some of the actors like Scarlet Johansson has lost my respect when she first did amazing job in films like Lost in Translation and now as a "Widowmaker-ninja" in this movie.
I would go as far as saying this isn't a movie, it's an 2.5hour long ad you pay to see. A huge disappointment and actually disrespectful to real film makers like Nolan, Wes A and Quentin.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
If you like..
If you like a movie with special effects, make-up, lame jokes and a cool soundtrack this is a movie for you.
I prefer a story however, so sorry, but can't rate this higher. Tried to watch it two times and fell asleep both times. However, a a lot people fall asleep on movies that I like.
I'm just really tired overall on the world of Marvel. The first movies they made were really interesting but I feel now that all movies are like "a higher power" which never really gets explained. Marvel has generally went from making the best super-hero movies to "superheroes who can't stop telling corny jokes in a green-screened environment with a cool soundtrack".
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (2015)
Just don't...
SPOILERS! Just saw this movie. Like Avengers 2, if you love bad jokes and don't have a brain you'd probably enjoy it. This movie was PACKED with bad scenes, story, small-talk and "hot- angles" of hunks and a petite girl. This movie is truly for small minded people.
If there was a way to get my money back after seeing a movie I'd do that in this case. I almost left the theatre half way through (I only stayed because I payed for the junk). Even if I downloaded this movie for free on piratebay I would just stop 15 minutes into the movie and delete the file.
What happened with Guy Ritchie? I love his old movies and are a big fan of even buying them to see again, but this movie? Really? It's like Apple after the death of Steve Jobs. It's just Hollywood trying to milk a dead cow.
This movie is like a soft-porn where you have two hunks, where one of them wants to nail the petite teen (Alicia Vikander) but with clothes on. The other guy are nailing every other girl in the movie even if they're enemies and you're not even seeing the scenes. There are no real connection in the acting and are just "hot" people but into a movie to cash in on the publics interests of sex, without sex. It's sooooo boring. I got a bit of panic cause there are just nothing in this movie that was interesting, funny, hard-to-figure- out, or anything... It's simply 116 mins of waste of time. I'd even watch PewDiePie before this. (and trust me I hate him as well)
I do not recommend you to watch this peace of junk. I guess I have to wait for The Hateful Eight to see a REAL Hollywood class movie again. All love to Tarantino so far since he and very few others still have a soul for movie-making and are not falling under the roof of milking the dead cow.
