iZombie (2015)
Not your average zombie show
When this show first premiered on The CW, I didn't like the name, so I just assumed it was going another. CW crapfest. With the recent writers strike and lack of any good television lately, I was surfing through Netflix and happened upon this gem of a show.
So the premise is that a once aspiring doctor Liv gets scratched on a boat party and becomes a zombie. She then gets a job with the medical examiners office in the morgue which happens to be in the police station. Liv then teams up with Detective Clive Babineaux. When Liv eats the brain of a victim, she takes on their personalities and has visions in hopes of solving their murder.
There are so many different characters that Liv plays, and she acts like them so flawlessly. A few that stand out are when she was a hockey goon and a dominatrix, those episodes were hysterical.
I would suggest giving the show a couple episodes and you'll be immediately hooked. I just recently watched the entire series start to finish in a few weeks.
Enjoy🤘
Lioness (2023)
Zoe is a force in this show
This show had me hooked within the first 10 minutes of the first episode. The action sequences, the storyline and the characters make this show phenomenal.
I'm not sure how the CIA operates, but based on the thousands of shows and movies that I've seen throughout my lifetime, I feel like this show nails it.
I'm a huge fan of the Jack Ryan series but this series shows how women are complete bad asses in the military, private sector, and government agencies.
Besides, Zoe, leading a stellar cast along with Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Tyler Sheridans regular James Jordan, Laysla De Oliveira, David Annable and one of my favorite character actors Michael Kelly.
Ignore the negative reviews, I guarantee you'll love it after watching the first episode.
I feel like the people that gave this a negative, still live in their parents basement covered in Dorito dust and a steady diet of Ramen, Cheetos and Mountain Dew, Code Red of course.
Supernatural (2005)
Best show hands down
I cannot write enough good things about this show. Well, except for maybe season seven with all those Leviathans😂
I am sure most fans feel the same way about season seven. The only really good episodes were when Dick Roman was in it, he brought humor to the role. The Leviathans themselves did not look intimidating. I kind of want to know what they look like when they are not in a human body.
I could not be happier that they decided not to end the show after season five. I constantly go back and watch different seasons on Netflix.
I really wish that Crowley stayed on till the end of the series.
There is nothing currently on TV that compares to this show.
Extraction (2020)
Thor like the F word😂
People really need to get a grip and just enjoy an action movie. If you want to whine about something , go watch Downton Abbey or some other cringe worthy movie.
Jaws (1975)
Quite possibly the greatest movie of all time
I first saw this move when I was about 6 at the movies. I screamed in terror but I couldn't take my eye off the screen. I've seen this movie now over 50 times and I watch it every time it's on tv regardless when it started. I am captivated by USS Indianapolis story and Mary Ellen Moffat😂.
Now smile you son of a b......
City on a Hill (2019)
Old school Boston
As a lifelong Bostonian, this show absolutely nails it. The first episode was amazing. I cannot wait to watch this season. It looks wicked pissah kid🍀
X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
Origins
I found the origins story fascinating, especially Magneto. I guess it wasn't an origins movie. Although seeing their backgrounds was just plain awesome.
Mile 22 (2018)
Don't read the bad reviews
Let's be honest, we didn't expect an Oscar winner here. This movie jams violence and mayhem into this 90 minute gem. I loved the super violent fight scenes. Do yourself a favor and watch it, especially if you're a Mark Wahlberg fan👍
Skyscraper (2018)
I wouldn't say a Rock themed Die Hard
Not as bad as everyone seems to say it is. Did you really expect an Oscar contender? After all it's a summer action flick.
There's very little chemistry between The Rock and Neve Campbell but we didn't watch this for romance now did we. As far as Neve being able to beat the female villain, that was a little far fetched. All in all, I thought it was a good movie to watch on a Saturday night.
Supernatural: ScoobyNatural (2018)
Just plain awesome
This episode is an instant classic. It brought back so many childhood memories, complete with the cheesy music and the Scooby gang dance!!
Vacation (2015)
Great addition to Vacation series
Surprisingly hysterical. Great cameos and crude humor.
