Best. Christmas. Ever! (2023)
Disjointed but sweet
The plot got lost in the story after the first 15 minutes but it was a cute movie. There were funny moments and it was a good movie to watch whilst wrapping gifts.
The children, their characters and their story arc, were annoying and barely fit in the story.
It was messy, but so are the holidays. It's not the worst Christmas movie. I'm not a Brandy fan, but she was fine. She sang a few times. I liked the idea of old friends stuck together for the holidays.
I won't put this on my list of "must watch" each year, but I didn't hate watching this. I gave it four stars. It was fine. I appreciate what they were trying to do.
Dance Moms: Tap vs. Hip Hop (2013)
Abby is a monster
Every episode Abby gives the world a free masterclass in manipulation and deflection. I love how she and Melissa always make the complaints of the mothers about Maddie when it's obviously about the way their own daughters are treated.
This episode was just one more example of the imbalance of power in their dance company. The parents are locked in by a contract. Abby uses that contract to bully them. Even worse, she abuses the children in order to keep the parents in line.
The scariest part of it all is that Abby doesn't seem any fault in her behavior. She truly believes the nonsense she spews.
No Sleep 'Til Christmas (2018)
Just awful
I like the actors, but not in this movie. There isn't a single redeeming moment in this movie. The storyline is terrible. It's not a Christmas movie. It isn't a love story. It's a horrible woman treating people like trash and we are supposed to find her endearing. The support characters are OK. The hero's best friend and his family are sweet. I think that's the best I can say about this movie. Cheating. Lying. Cynicism. Another bride who doesn't appreciate anything. She isn't excited about planning her wedding. She's annoyed that her fiancé cares. She's just a brat. Don't bother with this one.
Tucker Carlson Originals: Transgressive: The Cult of Confusion, Part 1 (2022)
Phenomenal and Terrifying
More attention needs to be brought to the truth behind this movement. I applaud Tucker Carlson for his work here. I hope everyone watches this.
For the sake of our children, this needs to be a priority. Parents need to become proactive in fighting back against this insanity. We are losing an entire generation. It's seeping it's way in through media, school, and every other avenue. We need to learn as much as Porto or about the truth and then share it everywhere.
Your children are the target. The damage is irreversible.
This is a cult and they are predators. Make no mistake about it. Please watch this documentary.
Instant Dream Home (2022)
Ugh, the host...
This is a fun show. It moves quickly, but it's fun. The host, Danielle ruins it for me. She's overly dramatic and it feels like she's trying way too hard. I find myself fast forwarding through her scenes. The other members of the team are great! Danielle, however, offers no value to the team or the show.
*** After watching a few more episodes, I find that the design team, though well-intended, don't seem to understand how a family operates within a home. They store all of the families' personal items to make for a nice aesthetic, but the designs won't work when you bring their personal items back. They removed the family room from the home of a family of 11! They forgot to make space for the family to homeschool and didn't bring the homeschool items back into the house. None of the design team have children. This is a flaw in all of their plans.
Leverage: Redemption (2021)
Took a minute to get their groove
The first episode was a bit clunky, but by the end, it came together. The team had to navigate around Nate being written out of the story, so there are obvious changes. I didn't go into it expecting everything to be the same. After watching a few more episodes, I have to say, they did a great job. Hoping for more seasons!
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Fun family flick
This movie was entertaining for our family. The story requires quite a bit of suspending disbelief, but that's ok. I mean, time travel and aliens always do. There were some plot holes, but not too bad. Chris Pratt is always great. He does a great job. If you want an action movie for fun, this is a good choice. My nine year old son had no issues with the violence and he scares easily with other films, so I'd say that this movie works for a family movie night.
Sweet Magnolias (2020)
So sweet!
We love this series! It's refreshing. I love the pace and the storylines. We need more shows like this on TV.
Christmas Grace (2013)
Great message!
Sure, the acting and production is low budget, but the story is wonderful! It's a great message. The one star reviews complaining that there is "too much Christianity" being pushed, tells me that more more people need to receive this message of the true meaning of Christmas.
