The best SW of the Disney era.

It's been a long time since I left a review on IMDB but I had to give some praise to this fantastic programme. Fans have been crying out for years for a more adult/gritty SW product and they have it now in spades. Diego Luna lives this character and is just as engaging as his performance in Rogue One. Tony Gilroy really is bring some much needed depth and realism to the Star Wars universe and although might be too slow burning for some I don't feel it has any more pacing issues than The Mandolorian. Really looking forwar d to how the rest of the series will pan out as we see the birth of the rebellion.

Gutted

Had real hopes going into this film but what a mess. The tone of the film is set out in the first five minutes where you're led to believe you are watching Spaceballs II and comedy is forcibly fed into every scene. A storyline that makes no sense added to some average acting and at points some really poor looking CGI left me jaw dropped for all the wrong reasons. I've no idea where they will go from here but frankly at the moment, I couldn't care less.

Hawking (2004 TV Movie)
8/10
Tough but rewarding viewing.
14 April 2004
This drama concerns the early days in the life of Professor Stephen Hawkings. It tells the story of how he battles against MND and the mind set of famous Astronomer Fred Hoyles. It also tells of his relationship with soon to be first wife Jane and of the help given to him by Roger Penrose. Intersected within the story are snippets of Nobel prize winners Arno Penzias and Bob Wilson who's discovery of background radiation gave Stephen the "fossil" he would need to back up his theory.

Well written with good performances from the principle characters and set amongst the beautiful background of Cambridge Hawking is a surprisingly enjoyable hour and half.Although viewers not familiar with Hawkings or his work may find parts of the story a bit dull or confusing at times, ultimately it's an inspirational story (even with the artistic liberties) and a first class piece of drama.
