Bridesmaids (2011)
My go-to "happy" movie
Anytime I'm feeling kind of blah, I watch this movie and it peps me up. There's nothing that sets this movie apart from any other comedy really, but it's hilarious and definitely worth 2 hours.
Isn't It Romantic (2019)
Loved the message behind the movie
Rebel Wilson and Adam Devine have such great chemistry, so I'll watch anything with the two of them. This movie is predictable in a sense, but things don't happen quite the way you expect for them to happen. It's clear the two of them were going to end up together in the end, but the message at the end of the "alternate universe" is one we ALL need to hear and learn to do for ourselves: the most important person to fall in love with is....yourself.
Encore! (2019)
I cry every time!
I love the whole idea of this show and have really enjoyed it. I have yet to watch an episode that hasn't touched my heart. This will appeal to every theater fan!
Dead to Me (2019)
Ooooh my gosh, this show!
Buckle up y'all...this show is gonna take you on a ride.
I'm very confused by the hate for season 2 - I loved it! One reviewer even claimed he/she didn't watch it all the way through...and it's clearly why she gave it such a low review.
Black Mirror: Smithereens (2019)
Powerful
I can't for the life of me figure out why this episode is rated as low as it is. Is it because there are no twists? No creepy, "futuristic" elements to the story? I hate to disappoint you, but the reason it's set in present time is because the creepy "futuristic" element in this story already exists. The message in this episode is incredibly powerful, and the acting was SUPERB. If this didn't stop and make you think...I highly suggest you wait a few years and watch it again once you've matured a little bit. Sorry, not sorry.
Indebted (2020)
Give it a chance!
I didn't care for the pilot, but I love Fran Drescher so I gave it another chance and I'm so glad I did! This show is actually pretty funny! Stick it out through the first couple of episodes and you won't be disappointed...it gets better every week.
The Conners (2018)
I don't understand the low ratings.
I really like the show. Is the it same without Roseanne? No. Is it supposed to be the same without her? No. That's the point. Dan is still lovable. Jackie is still hilarious. Darlene is still....Darlene, lol. And Becky is still a terrible actress. What I love about this show is the dynamic of the characters is completely the same despite losing the family matriarch, and the storylines are interesting. I feel like the people who gave this show a one-star rating did so after watching one episode. Give it a chance before you drag it through the mud.
