Outer Banks (2020)
somewhere between not bad and bad.
I dont really know what to think of this is it 2 or 4 stars, maybe even 6 on a good day? If it werent for the "nice colours" and scenery the bad acting, the "lets hire a 20something-looking actor to play a kid threatened with fostercare", the bumps and glitches in the logics of the plot, the flat characters straight out of a 90s highschool romcom would totally destroy this. Ive only watched 3 episodes and decided to spend my time elsewhere.
La casa de papel (2017)
started great, got worse with every episode
It reminded me of HIMYM, where you got more and more the Feeling that they are extending the plot to make more episodes and more Money. I liked the Music, the general idea and some Pictures. Tokio coming back (not getting shot by a bunch of snipers riding the motrocykle back in?!?!?!), the relationship between raquel and salva, the two stockholm-Syndroms. too many flashbacks, american-style Shooting Scenes with thousands of rounds and None hitting the target... all that spoiled a potential 8/10 Rating. i Only continued after 8 episodes because i had gotten that far....
Die dunkle Seite des Mondes (2015)
Nice Production, Major Flaw in storyline
Urs is a successful lawyer. But one case is really wearing him down and he Begins to question Hits choices in life, Starts an Affair with a younger Woman WHO introduces him to drugs. One mushroom Trip Gomes wrong and he cant stop tripping, is unusually aggressive and he Starts Losing Control. He has to find out what shroom is responsible for the Trip gone wrong so he Starts Looking for it. Heres the flaw: eventually he finds out which shroom he took and instead of getting this info to his doc to find out the Counter- potion he Starts Wandering around the Woods lookin for this shroom. The Ending doesn't make much Sense and the storyline is snaking around without a final twist or Highlight to Save this otherwise Nicely Shot Film.
Touch (2012)
promising pilot, 2nd episode rather stupid
being in Germany i stumble upon new series by chance. i watched the pilot and thought "wow, this could really become my new favorite drama series", the plot was unusual, the acting of the kid was great and kiefer nicely interpreted the role of a scared, overwhelmed and caring dad without being cheesy. yes - the social workers choice of words and idea of help for the kid is rather odd, but it altogether promised to be a good series. the atmosphere was mysterious enough, the dialogues, colors, pictures, plotting and scenes were well done. then finally the second episode aired. and I'm very disappointed. kiefers dialogues are stupid (he sounds way too much like ctu), the storytelling isn't nearly as good as it was in the pilot (way too easy to guess whats happening) and the social workers skills are with her looks and not with the kid. the pilot had 8,5 stars, the new episode more around 5. i hope it will get back to the intriguing start!
