Truman meets Hunger Games meets Escape Room!
4 December 2022
Absolutely love it!

I really hope there will be a part two - and Ill be blunt and say I have high expectations to it!

Its something entrapping with the ship at sea, (well Ive got huge respect for the ocean and hate huge boats/ships so its kinda claustrophobic for me) and its fascinating with people from different countries with different languages all rolled in to one - like some kind of Babylon. I love the «dark» surroundings and that we get to unfold each of the passengers past and mysteries, as well as not having a clue whats going on until we well after half of the episodes start to get some ideas of it yet without revealing it all.

Love most of the actors as well!

Always makes you FEEL something

Amazing actors that makes you BELIEVE everything - just like real life really is.

Real storylines...

There is hardly any episode where you dont get teary-eyed or cry, and yet there is also something warm that makes you smile.

Very moving, very hard to watch, and so so real.

Reflects the «modern» commentfields on Social Media 100%. Its a complete tragedy how people behave om the internet - and how much people have divided and almost declared written war on each other the recent years.

As for the police here - they get hatred whether «they do or they dont», but thankfully there is always someone sharing gratitude. Just like in real life.

It's quite scary to see the division of people today and all the animosity between us. And this series speaks about it all.

Absolutely love it!

Started off a BIT «hmmm is this any good?» But after two episodes I was sold. Love the people, its gruesome at times but my God, no crime series - and rarely any series - has made me laugh out loud as much as this one!

The humour is sublime!

The tension/emotions between actors are really good as well.

Some episodes reminds me of past crimes or crime shows but it doesn't matter. Its just really cool!

Am I the only one getting totally annoyed by half of the main characters?
21 November 2021
This could have been much better. It started pretty great and it could have been better. But the characters of Zoe, totally disrespecting the only one who cares about her, treating him like dirt. Axel being such an annoying character, not sure Ive ever been so annoyed by anyone before. And Marcus .... Oriol and his mum, not sure what to say. But some characters Id like to have seen more of. Like Kika. Absolutely loved Boxer... The story in itself was fine tho! And a lot of action. But then it drowned a bit. Hard to understand its the same people behind as Money Heist tbh..

Squid Game (2021– )

Best description? Uncomfortably genius! And quite disturbing!
18 September 2021
Squid Game. Wow.

Korean.

Best description? Uncomfortably genius!

(Kind of disturbing - small warning but still)

I mean there are some elements of The Game and Hunger Games, but this is bigger, more catastrophic in a different way, more clever, plays on psychological aspects, with a touch of closeness between some participants. Its intensely catchy and totally insane.

Its set in a today's society with participants being people in economic trouble who owes a lot of money, mostly from gambling, and about their desperation. Great actors too!!

They even include a very dark business of todays world - but I wont reveal anything here.

Although its brutal - its more brutal in what's actually going on, and what's happening - than being graphically brutal.

And you will sit there and feel lots of things - scared and somewhat freaked out as well, and as I said: its Uncomfortably geniusly made in my opinion.

If you're looking for something different that will get your HR rising, try this one! *Handclaps*

Absolutely love it! (Coming from a nonstop crime lover - I needed this!)

Brilliant series. Im a Norwegian and hardly every watch romcoms or dramas, and dont often like the Norwegian humour the last 20 years. I also dont like much of todays famous Norwegians. But the cast in this movies has managed to get ALL the best actors in Norway in big or smaller roles. Its lovely! I think the interaction between the roles - and actors - thats the biggest reason this show is so amazing. Its definitely got cringy moments - but its the cringy moments that actually makes you laugh so loud and heartfelt 😅😅 Usually cringy stuff in comedies (american especially) makes me wanna turn them off. But not this one. Absolutely love it! The main actress is the perfect cast and shes awesome!

Only thing close to horror about this movie is: Its horrible!
8 August 2019
First: my compliments to the lead actress. She was phenomenal!! I felt her, I believed her, I trusted her, she was brilliant! Id give her 10/10. But the movie guys....?? Absolutely one of THE worst movies Ive ever seen. How its even labelled horrormovie is beyond me. I had hopes in the beginning, until they went to Sweden. Then everything just plummeted. I was thinking hm it might get interesting being about a cult and all, but NO! The last 80 minutes I was just soooo ready to leave. It was the most annoying uninteresting tiresome movie I have seen the past decade or more. If anything was meant to give me nightmares from this, its the sickening chanting during the last scenes, and the singing during the movie... The last 80 minutes was pure torture to sit in the seat. Why didnt I leave? Good question. Guess I just never pay and leave smth.. but I wish I had. I hope I never see smth like this again.
