Verdens verste menneske (2021)
Totally worth it!
In my point of view, I think this movie is more than a modern drama/romance. It portrays some social stereotypes that every one has faced at least once in their lives, more commonly, the women.
Specifically, when a person is nearly reached their 30s, they are obligated to already have a degree that means they need to be aware of was they want their lives to be and lock to that. In contrary with the character that has changed her career path multiple times until she found what suits for her. Additionally, society intervenes in their personal live considering that when a person reaches 30s and has a partner, that implies family and children.
Needless to say that Julie is the "worst" person in the world because she doesn't follow society's demands, she's free.
Great movie 👍🏻
Córki dancingu (2015)
One of the worst I've seen.
It was getting more and more cringy. I couldn't tell if it was on purpose that way or there were really people that thought that it was good idea...
It could have been a good movie though.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Disturbingly accurate
The awkward moment when you don't know if you either want to laugh or cry.
That's the irony of how much to the point that movie was.
A great movie for 2022 to begin. 👍🏻
Carnival of Souls (1962)
It doesn't need much to create the ideal, creepy atmosphere for a mystery movie.
A movie referring to the time between life and afterlife. A woman after surving mysteriously a terrible car accident, she has been trying to continue her life but she keeps facing a strange man. As I undertstand, she was roaming in the latest memories before joining the carnival of souls. The abadonded carnival was nearby the accident area and she was "connected" to it. That's why she couldn't escape neither town nor the strange man. That fact explains also the reason why she sometimes felt invisible, she really was.
An interesting movie with the adorable aesthetic of the 60s that doesn't need much to create the ideal, creepy atmosphere for a mystery film.
The Green Knight (2021)
A Knights Tale
I found the movie romantic as a conception. It follows the medieval poem as it is, just plain and simple. It doesn't need unneeded action to fill out the plot. The cinematography is absolutely amazing and captivating while portraiting the gloominess and dullness of the medieval times.
As a negative one, I think I would shrink some monologues that gone too long without any reason.
Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010)
If i was shorter, it may be exceptionally good.
If i was shorter, it may be exceptionally good. Some scenes were extremely slow without any particular reason. Adooored the cinematography and appreciated the master's (Kubrick) references. But it wasn't Mandy guys and no Nicolas Cage. Nothing can be that good.
Thumbs up anyway 👍🏻
Zombieland (2009)
WHAT A SURPRISE?!
I thought I would watch the "same" zombie killing movie. Even though it was another one zombie movie, it was the best I've ever seen. It was hilarious but in a smart way and I have to admit I didn't want it to end. It could be easily a successful tv series. I'm hoping for the sequel to give me nearly the same vibe.
Bonus: yeah I loved the intro, you can't miss with that.
Bonus 2: Woody Harleson had fun and we can get that!
Loved it. The only negative is that it had to end.
Ratched (2020)
So much hype for nothing
First of all, there's nothing connecting the original movie and this one and it was something that disappointed me. Despite that, the plot was lacking in a lot of parts, there were many logical gaps and I'm not ashamed of telling that in general, it was dull and that the most interesting character was not the main character. Thankfully there was Mr. Hanover and Sharon Stone's character and we saw something interesting. On the other hand, I must admit that the cinematography was exceptional, a very good one and that was the thing that saved this series.
A generous 5 from me.
Climax (2018)
Overrated and pointless
I've read a lot of reviews about how good this movie is and it was always high on recommendations. So, my expectations were high and I waited to see a masterpiece, but it was a disaster and a waste of time. I was shocked about how pointless, boring and basic movie this was. Dance, I've seen a bit of it. Drugs, I saw the bad effects, ok, I've seen them a lot of times and in a more interesting way. That's it. Oh, and there was many colours and a spinning camera effect. Thanks Gaspar Noe for wasting my Saturday. You will thank me later.
The King (2019)
Nothing remarkable.
I found it a bit inaccurate and very slow that becomes dull at some times. For a Netflix movie, it was good, but nothing remarkable as a movie referred to history.
Lawless (2012)
Just good.
It was just good and not memorable. The expectations of mine were high and not fulfilled despite the distinguished cast and the interesting plot. Something's missing.
Call Me by Your Name (2017)
So - so
A film which can be enjoyed but nothing special. At some time it can be a bit boring and it leaves you with an expectation that stays incomplete. Excellent scenery, stunning Italy.
Dexter (2006)
Excellent.
Absolutely brilliant. A wonderful new look at the crime drama. Addictive. With a controversial ending but it doesn't leave a bitter taste at the end.
