Swift Street (2024)
Just loved it
I binged watched the series on SBS not my usual thing but loved the drama/ comedy and it had every social topic of today rolled into one. Violent in places and it also showed a softer side of relationships between people.
From broken relationships, unable to find a home, unable to pay bills, debt collectors. Family breakdown, community values.
An interesting Aussie series but certainly portrayed the multi cultural growth now in the suburbs.
I gave it 9 and will probably rewatch the series again.
I enjoyed all the characters and they all did a great job portraying their characters. Hope we see more series like this.
House of the Dragon (2022)
As as exciting as GOT
Being an older watcher 😊 was pleased with the plot, moved along well certainly be waiting for more episodes. Costumes were great and dragon not to computerised!
DI Ray (2022)
Cut short
Was really enjoying it then it seemed to speed up and come to an end?
Could have been a couple more episodes between 3 and 4.
Hope it returns for a second season.
Mijn beste vriendin Anne Frank (2021)
Became boring
It was too clean didn't really leave me feeling how they things were for Jewish families or how they were treated in the camp.
I think the translation to English left some of the feeling out and what was really said.
Cousins (2021)
Confronting
Having lived in NZ from 1960 I realised I knew very little of Maori and what they had to cope with.
The movie made me sad, mad and confronted!
Hacks (2021)
Worth watching
Jean Smart really makes the series worth watching the throw away lines the clothes, house etc is just what you'd expect from a Star 🌟 Sadly she's not keeping up with technology, treatment of staff will be interested to see what happens by the last episode.
Six Minutes to Midnight (2020)
Good English movie
Pretty predictable but okay to fill in an afternoon. Probably be a family type movie for older ones. No sex or swearing! Limited violence.
Quite believable.
Mare of Easttown (2021)
Totally hooked
So looking forward to the full series 🙂 Believable story line and interesting characters.
I Care a Lot (2020)
A comedy of errors
Quite amusing may well happen? Kept me occupied on a rainy day!
The Dry (2020)

Twists and turns great aussie movie, secrets of a small town worth watching
The Handmaid's Tale: Unfit (2019)
Didn't surprise me
Guess one shouldn't be surprised about Aunt Lydia's background she's one hard woman!
