Love, Death & Robots: Bad Travelling (2022)
One word: masterpiece
This was the best episode, as expected with David Fincher directing. Mind blowing. The story, the messages behind it, the visuals, the acting. Everything is just amazing.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
People rating this a 10/10 is outrageous and nonsensical
It has been a while since the last time I posted a review here. But I'm just going to say this, this is the most Overrated movie of all time. Why? Short answer: the most successful Nostalgia Feast in superhero movies. Besides that, what's left of this is:
Incoherent plot. Awful script. Mediocre action and fights. Again, A banquet of Nostalgia and references to the old movies. Mediocre performances except from Dafoe and Tom. Too long, too many excuses , too many plot-holes and conveniences for the sake of extending the movie. I almost forgot, terrible humor.
End of story.
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Other Side of the Wall (2019)
Shingeki No Kyojin, the epitome of perfection in storytelling
Shingeki No Kyojin is my favorite series of all time. To me, this story about humanity will stand as one of the most complex, exciting, saddening, but also heartening; brillian and mind bending pieces of work to ever be created. Im not sure if word can quite describe what SNK really is and more importantly, what it means to me...
The storytelling this season was just masterful. It kept getting better and better every episode. Character development was phenomenal. It always shocks me how Isayama is able to create and develop so much in just 22 minutes.
Everything feels right and real. The animation and the music score were even better than previous seasons. I mean, the soundtrack here deserves so many awards is insane.
Thank you WIT Studios, author Hajime Isayama and crew, for creating what it is to me, the epitome of perfection.
Not that even matters but, soon I will get a tattoo: TATAKAI.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Hero (2019)
Shingeki No Kyojin will stand as one of the best pieces of art of all time
Although everything has already been said about this episode, after this episode and arc, I have to say it one more time: Shingeki No Kyojin will stand as one of the best pieces of art in human history. You just can't deny the truth when its in front of you.
THANKS TO ALL THE CREW BEHIND SNK, THANK YOU FOR CREATING SUCH A MASTERPIECE. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.
Westworld: The Passenger (2018)
Truly Television 3.0 - I'm speechles
Westworld season 2 finale was just breathtaking, shockingly brilliant surreal and visceral. This series has become the pinnacle of the sci-fi genre. There's just no words to express how perfectly crafted this show really is. It defies everything we've seen so far in TV, from the technical aspect to storytelling wise.
Than you Nolan, Lisa and all the production team!
Westworld: Vanishing Point (2018)
This episode is ... next gen TV. Masterpiece.
A lot of answers and a lot of questions left behind, but that's ok. We want to know more about Westworld and it's characters... Everything in this episode is SO important, so full of splendor, that we hope to understand, to see more clearly. We're starting to see how this season is going to end, or at least that's what we believe... until something comes out of nowhere to remind us that we are watching a new generation of creativeness and art. We are watching West f** world.
Please rate this episode 9+. This deserves more. Thanks to all the people involved with WW. Thank you Nolan and Lisa for creating something else.
10/10
Westworld: Contrapasso (2016)
Best episode yet in WestWorld
I will make it very simple. "Contrapasso" is the best episode to date.
Everything went flawless, from the story, the characters, the mystery behind the "maze" and its creators, all of it. I keep getting more intrigued and invested with each episode.
Brilliant performances as always (Hopkins being my favorite, I'm in love with every scene he is in), dialogue, cinematography and specially the absurdly amazing soundtrack (composed by Ramin Djawadi, who is also the composer for Game Of Thrones)
Can't wait for the next episode. This has the potential to become one of the greatest sci-fi /drama mystery TV series of all time.
Man of Steel (2013)
What an incredible beginning of a wonderful journey
This will be a short review, all I have to say about this movie is that it was espectacuar... I just love everything on it... Since the start to the end. The movie peace is great, you'll never get bored, since this films tells in a different and more grounded way how Kal-El grew up and the struggles he went for through his life. I loved the way they showed Krypton, I felt like finally I was watching a comic book coming to life on the big screen! BEAUTIFUL. Rich in story, an outstanding start to what it would be hopefully a new trilogy. Excellent performances, Michael Shannon and Henry Cavill are incredible. THE ACTION. BEST ACTION EVER! I MEAN, EVER! BEST SUPERMAN FILM YET. And possibly one of the best superhero movies ever made till date. Just right behind TDR & TDRS. We'll have to see how things go, and expect another wonderful movie if not a better one! Can't wait! 9/10
The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Superb, but more than words, emotions over the top.
This is a review without spoilers, I may do another one later on with them, but for now I found myself in shock due to this incredible piece of art, than more than just a movie, is an ocean full of emotions, delivered by the hands of Christopher Nolan, the superb performances from every single actor in this film, the exquisite and wise script, plot, and entire story, and last but not least the music that is absolutely breathtaking.
I was thrilled, happy, sad, scared, and millions of emotions that went straight to my heart, something just Nolan can make, the way he tells a story, a unique way that can go beyond the impossible, beyond everything that stands for filmmaking.
This is not just an outstanding, sublime and magnificent film by itself, but the greatest end to a trilogy that will stand and will be remembered for ever. Yes, for ever.
Thanks to everybody that made this possible, this is just pure joy and excitement, brilliance everywhere, just THANK YOU.
