Maid (2021)
All too real and believable a story
Only watched two episodes so far but really feel for the main character and sadly the story line is all too believable.
Also no idea why somebody would give it such a low rating of 2 stars so can only presume that this is because they have issues with the subject matter.
Long Story Short (2021)
Resonates far more than I wish it did!
I can't understand the negative reviews on this at all and it's not like Click or GHD and at least in my opinion it is fairly different idea and a very important message.
Worth a watch definitely and about time some reviewers stopped using silly minor elements of a film as a justification for 1 star ratings.
Message Man (2018)
Entertaining film with plenty of action
Not sure what kind of film those who gave this low ratings are expecting, its an action film and involves lots of brutal killings and usual dim thugs working for a boss character so why expect anything more....
It was maybe a little slow at the beginning when set up a slightly corny picture but moved at a decent pace once got to main section and certainly if was low budget this wasn't something that stood out.
get some snacks and a beer / coffee etc and chill for a while watching this.
Blue Story (2019)
Important and sadly very believable film
I think many of the bad reviews are from people who really don't understand the reality of life for many of the kids in these areas
You don't need polished experience actors for everything and the kids in this film for me really add to it and hammer home the sheer waste of lives caused by petty differences and nonsense about which area you are from!
Little Monsters (2019)
Turned off after 10 minutes as couldn't manage to watch
No idea why anybody would give this a good rating, The main character was so unlikable and constant swearing when talking to his 5 year old nephew was just boring and not needed.
I have watched all kinds of random films and plenty with gore and a lot more swearing but the way was done here was just irritating and created a main character that I had no empathy or interest in seeing unless it was to watch him eaten by one of the Zombies which I suspect was unlikely.
Wonder Woman (2017)
Fantastic film and well worth seeing in the cinema
I don't often write reviews but took my 13yr old daughter to see this and was really pleased that had chosen to see this at the cinema as was absolutely fantastic and could never have provided the same experience at home unless you have a lot bigger and better TV and sound system than me!
Yes there are silly parts and bits that seem a bit unlikely but why focus on these when just about every film has them, just sit back and enjoy this film as pure entertainment with a fantastic lead and some brilliant effects
Seeing this has reminded me how great the cinema can be after seeing some other so so films recently where I really could have happily waited for release to DVD as they were nothing special.
Also I watched this in 2D as to be honest I don't see anything that amazing about most 3D or want to wear glasses watching a film but still found this much more immersive and impressive than many others that I have seen in 3D
