I have a very good knowledge in comedies and action films.
Quite good with movie trivia from the 80s onwards and some earlier than that.

Overboard (2018)
Not better than Original - Still Watch It
I wasn't too hopeful going in when I saw the trailer, nor did I like the idea of swapping the male/female scenario.
Additionally many people said that Kate Hudson should have played her mum's role....well Anna Faris did a great job!
Special mention to Eugenio Derbez who I had serious doubts on but knocked it out the park!
As I said, not better than the original but a nice twist to it and a great feel good comedy!
Grown Ups (2010)
Finally a movie with big names that I enjoyed.
When I saw the cast I thought to my self no chance this will be a movie to buy for my DVD collection but it really is.
Sandler, Spade, James, Rock & Schneider working together make it a constant laugh. Smart jokes and embarrassing situations make this an 8/10 for me.
And to top it all up you have Salma Hayek in a bikini, can't go wrong really!
It's one of very few movies with a rich big cast that works. Probably the first since Cannonball Run II.
Standard things in Adam Sandler movies though such as the obvious happy ending, big bank accounts and about 5-6 actors that he uses in all of his films!
Step Up 3D (2010)
Good dancers...Bad actors
Compared to the first and second step up movies the dancing part of the film is better than both combined.
Acting part on the other hand is quite bad, very amateur acting from most of the cast as most are professional dancers, NOT actors! Story line is quite good and keeps you entertained through out the whole film. I believe that the director did the best he could with what he was given.
As for the 3D effects nothing special, only a few dance scenes worth mentioning.
The guy at the end credits doing a "dance" with his hands in 3D was a bit pointless.
Overall though I would recommend you to watch it if you like this kind of films. It has a fantastic soundtrack and as I mentioned above very good dancing!!!
Knight and Day (2010)
Cruise & Diaz at their best
When you first see the trailer you think "Great another cliché action comedy with big celebrities!" Nop, it is truly a very enjoyable movie to watch with clever humour, excellent action scenes with car chases and planes crashes.
Tom Cruise is very cool and funny playing his part amazingly for his age.
Cameron Diaz has aged but still looks amazing playing a naive single woman who wanted some excitement in her life and boy does Cruise deliver for her.
The chemistry between them is much better than Vanilla Sky and it's a movie that you can watch more than once. Truly worth watching!
The Longest Yard (2005)
Adam Sandler's best, excellent cast!!!
What can one say about this film...it has it all, from car chase scene to policemen tackled, to gay inmates in prison to Chris Rock jokes.
Absolutely fantastic comedy, Adam's Sandler's best yet. If you liked the old Mean Machine with Burt Reynolds then you will fall in love with this one.
All prisoners and guards have been handpicked and I wouldn't change any of them.
Nelly, Terry Crews and several other known celebrities work well together as a team and will be one of the films you never get bored of watching! Directing from Peter Segal is absolutely brilliant and during the game scenes it couldn't be any better!!!
Dragonball Evolution (2009)
Second rate effects with second rate actors
I grew up watching Dragonball so I was looking forward to watching this film.
I was very surprised that for a cartoon as big as Dragonball they only had Yun-Fat Chow as a well known actor in the film. Unfortunately besides Yun-Fat Chow, Justin Chatwin and Jamie Chung the rest of the cast look like the should be doing low budget Disney TV series.
Story line isn't very straight forward and you will probably need to watch it a couple of times to fully understand it.
The one thing you can take from this film are the fighting scenes. Better than I expected and well choreographed.
From Paris with Love (2010)
Action Packed with clever Bad Boy Humor
From Paris with Love was advertised as from the director of Taken rather than starring John Travolta and respectively as Taken was a top drawer film that I can watch over and over again.
John Travolta is fantastic, he's back and better than ever. Different look than what we are used to but boy does it suit him. He's mean, cool and those one liners are exquisite.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers as his "partner" was I have to say at his best! We've seen him in a few films like MI3 where he doesn't shine as much as he should and he definitely shines well in this one. He plays his part brilliantly and this film will be a trademark for his future.
As for the director's point of view, it's a standard Pierre Morel style movie situated in Paris and you wish it lasted longer (i.e Taken). You do get a feeling there were additional scenes cut from it as with Taken.
Due Date (2010)
Not as good as The Hangover
People were anticipating a film as funny as the hangover which put is quite a task to achieve. The film is funny, cast is excellent and the story line isn't bad but comparing to The Hangover no where near as funny. I still recommend watching 100%.
Robert Downey Jr. was fantastic, he's definitely back in shape the past few years. I believe he really works well with Zach Galifianakis and would not be surprised at all to see them do another movie together soon.
Jamie Fox's cameo is quite funny I thought as well, as we know Todd Phillips likes cameos that people will not forget.
