The Long Shot (2004)
A heart-warming story about overcoming impossible odds to achieve one's goals
Horse loves everywhere will love this pleasant film about a woman who's deadbeat husband abandons her, leaving her to find a job and a home for herself, her daughter and her horse. She finds all of the above at a stable; where relationships blossom and the future beings to look bright.
This movie has good acting, average filming, a good plot and the flashbacks to when the lady was younger/the dynamics with her mother add to the storyline. This story was also loosely based on a true story. 7 out of 10.
Streets of Laredo (1995)
All it takes for a great movie
This is my favorite movie. It may be long, but it's not drawn out. It doesn't have the regular ol' western theme.. you know, and older man, a widowed woman, a crazy horse... no no no, this movie is real. I watch it from time to time and enjoy it even more each time. Alexis Cruz does a fantastic job as Joey Garza. Samuel Shephard is also fabulous in his role, and fits the part perfectly. 9.5 out of 10 stars.
I Dreamed of Africa (2000)
Too sad.
I was dissapointed in the ending of it. It was filmed brilliantly and I enjoyed most of it, but it was very depressing. The scenery of Africa and the overall feel of the movie was nice. The lighting, music, and casting were brilliant. I would recommend this movie to those who like to spill a few tears... but then again, who does?
