The A-Team: Pros and Cons (1983)
I want a trash bag!
One of the A-Teams greatest episodes that truly set the pace for what was to come.
Pros And Cons sets the team on a mission to rescue an old friend on B. A's who's being used as a combatant in a prison warden's illegal no holds barred fights to the death. Everything about this episode is what made the show great from stunts, comedy and action it's all here. If i was to recommend an episode to anyone who wanted to give the show a try it would definitely be this one. B. A is a force to be reckoned with while Face and Hannibal do what they do best planning and Murdock provides some fantastic comedy moments. All in all it shouldn't be missed by anyone looking for a great 1980's TV show to either rewatch or get into now.
Asteroid City (2023)
An utter joy
I myself have never been a fan of Wes Anderson movies, in fact i can honestly say i haven't enjoyed a single one of his offerings, that was until i watched the trailer for this. The visual choice of the production designer first caught my eye, next it was the dry delivery of obviously comedic lines that had me chuckling aloud and finally the stellar cast that includes such names as Tom Hanks, Jeff Goldblum and Tilda Swinton that had me needing more.
I do not wish to spoil anything for anyone in way of the story or anything else for that matter, i just urge everyone who has the chance to watch it where you should, where everyone should surround by others in a cinema with the largest screen you can possibly find because this film is an absolute treat for the eyes and nectar for the mind.
Space Goblins (2020)
Crazy enjoyable fun
Crazy, outrageous and funny as hell.. I'm so glad i stumbled across Space Goblins. Adult animation has never been better especially when it's taking a journey with a couple of alien bounty hunters named Gib and Gob. I honestly didn't know what to expect and it honestly past anything i could of hoped for. There's talk of a live action remake which could only mean one thing and that's dreams do come true. Whoever did the animation was on top form and whoever wrote the script has a fantastic sense of humour. Ams Overton the director has some serious talent and i hope he gets the chance to gift us a full length feature one day.
Ruckus (1980)
Classic early 80's action
Imagine if Face from The A-Team had come back from Vietnam a broken man before regrouping with the other members of his platoon and forming the now legendary four man group that we know today and that's what you have here. It's a great old school action movie from a time when low budget films like Eye Of The Tiger and Savage Dawn were all the rage and always enjoyable. I myself only came across this a couple of days ago but I've found myself watching it twice already.
Sadly movies like this will never be seen again because of CGI and in all honesty no one can write or make these types of movies anymore. It's gets a 10/10 A+ 5* rating from me as it takes me back to a time when you didn't need a lot to make something entertaining just great actors, fantastic stuntmen and a raw passion.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
The years weren't kind
In my mind Top Gun hadn't aged well after watching YouTube video after YouTube video "but" the years of not watching actually had the reverse effect because Top Gun Maverick is a movie i didn't want but became the movie i needed. I will never be swayed by those negative know nothing look back reviews again. Thank you Tom Cruise for your years of service to the business i love, the business of escapism, the business of entertainment.. Top Gun Maverick is my movie of 2022 because it's a movie from another time,a time of no holds barred seat of your pants storytelling and it's from the time of my teenage years. I went back to revisit the original to find an old friend i never knew i had.
Gojira vs. Mosura (1992)
Best of the 90's Godzilla movies
I've been a fan all my life of the Godzilla franchise and this is with out a shadow of a doubt one of the franchises best movies.
Great story along with great effects helps this stand out from the Godzilla movies of the 1090's.
Godzilla himself is amazing as always but it's Mothra that steels the show, her new design and colours make her more beautiful than ever.
Anyone from the life long fan to those newly discovering Japans greatest movie gift to the world should not miss this!
Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
Absolutely Stunning! 10/10 A+ 5*
Just got back from watching Alita and it is amazing. Story, visual and music all fit together perfectly. RR has surpassed himself. Dusk Till Dawn, Planet Terror and even my personal favourite of his Machete are not even close to Alita. Teens, guys, girls and families will have a great time watching it.
Beastie Boys: Video Anthology (2000)
An anthology of classic music videos from a group that is so much more than Hip-Hop!
Disk one starts with Intergalactic, disk two ends with Alive and in between are some of musics greatest music videos.
The Beastie Boys are so much more than the image The Sun newspaper gave them in the 1980's. Yes they started as a punk band then transformed themselves into the bad boys of Hip-Hop but they are so much more.
This collection contains some of their most famous hits along with the art form used to promote them back in the days when MTV actually played music videos. Many included are mini movies, real pieces of art,Intergalactic being one and Body Movin' being another.
Trust me when i say whole heartedly that if you are a Beastie Boys fan you need to own this. It's an easy 10/10,A+,5* collection.
Mortal Engines (2018)
Worst movie of the past year!
With so many plot holes and a story straight out of Monty Python (Crimson Insurance) which does not work, this waste of my money and time is in my opinion an insult to movie goers. In a world where it's resources have gone they seem to be able to make cites drive around. I know movies are meant to take us places we could dream if but this is a nightmare and i sincerely hope i never have to sit through it ever again.

The Domestics (2018)
Awesome to see the Post Apocalyptic genre is being kept alive!
I came across The Domestics purely by accident after see an ad on Facebook,i watched the trailer and found out it was being screened not far from me that night. Off i went to the only screening that was at 22:30,i was the only person there,so i sat in the middle thinking if it would live up to its trailer and it didn't disappoint. Right from the get go i really enjoyed it and it got better as it continued. A great new take on a genre i been a fan of since the Omega Man,Soylent Green and Mad Max. It's nice to see a movie take gives you the view from a normal couple and not some big screen hero and how they adapt to their surroundings especially Kate Bosworths character. I'm not one to spoil something that i think you should experience yourself,so I'll just say it's definitely worth watching and for me it's a 5/5 A+ movie and will buy it as soon as it's available.
The A-Team (1983)
1980's TV action at its very best!
The 1980's gave us many things The A-Team being one of them and one of the greatest shows to ever hit the airwaves. It centres around a Team of Vietnam vets who were part of an elite unit of special forces soldiers all of which were green berets. At the end of the war they were sent on a secret mission only they and their commanding officer knew about, that mission ended badly and they were framed for a crime they didn't commit. They were just about to be sentenced to life in prison when they made their escape and became soldiers of fortune living within the Los Angeles underground and if you have problems they can find a solution to them. Col Hannibal Smith,Lt Templeton Peck,Cap H.M Murdock and Sargent B.A Baracus along with hotshot newspaper reporter Amy Allen are The A Team and TV histories greatest group of mercenaries. It's still a great show that still gets better with every year that passes unlike some other shows. I was young when it first aired and now my grandchildren enjoy it just as much as i did back when it first hit TV screens everywhere.
