Step Up 3D (2010)
1/10
If you're into dancing, go see it. If not, STAY AWAY!!
9 August 2010
What can you really expect with a step up film? I mean, the dancing is great and all, but if you're not all into dancing in the first place, this movie definitely will make your eyes and ears bleed!! The choreography is the only reason I gave this garbage film a 2 out of 10 rating and not a full on 1. Every other aspect of the picture is poor and horribly executed, especially the writing, which I will discuss. The acting of course is something of a train-wreck because the so-called "actors" have no idea how to improvise and therefor they're just saying lines (very cheesy lines. pretty much what I meant when I said the writing was bad) which gets completely unrealistic REALLY fast.

Adam Savani is quite possibly the most annoying person in Hollywood, simply because of the step up films. His flashy and somewhat tedious dance moves DO NOT make up for his complete and utter inability to act or be funny when his character is supposed to be the sort of quirky friend. He's another big reason of why I gave this crap such an atrocious rating. 2 out of 10 for me. screw it, I change my mind f**king 1 out of 10.

Goodfellas (1990)
10/10
Way too low on the top 250.
3 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Before seeing Goodfellas, I knew knew very little of the crime genre, or biopic films for that matter. When I first saw it a few years ago, I was quite frankly, blown away. Everything from the way Martin Scorsese used the wonderful soundtrack, how he used specific songs in specific scenes to increase the mood (especially the Billy Batts scene, when he is being beat to death, the Song "Atlantis" by "Donovan" can be heard playing, which means he will be "sleeping with the fishes"), to the acting, which in my opinion, is the most real and raw i've ever seen in a film. There is seriously not a single bad performance in this movie, and Joe Pesci is incredible, the way his character (which is based on a real mobster, mind you) goes from being a joker, to being dead serious in seconds. The writing in the Goodfellas is also very solid, having a great script along with a great cast to act it out is a good combination, and this film just so happens to have that.

the Fact that it's 17 on the top 250, and that the Dark Knight is higher just sickens me. The Dark Knight is a good movie, but watch it and then watch Goodfellas, and it's clear that Goodfellas is FAR superior along with most of the films above it.
