Had a great opportunity to make the show epic but it seems that disneyplus is allergic to that type of stuff

I have to be honest and say that Disney Plus tv show record isn't very good worse is that there disrespecting the Star Wars universe for some reason they just seem to make the shows incredibly dull and boring there's no space battles there's no epic gun fights there's just a lot of talking and negotiating and desert planets at least with the Mandalorian there was a lot of action he was going into space quite a lot and it was interesting but the book of Boba Fett seems to slow everything down to a snails pace Bubba Fett is meant to come across as as a great and ruthless Bounty Hunter but in this series he is led b a female assassin who does all the talking for him this in my mind makes very weak.

The introduction of the young crew aka the Power Rangers was one of the stupidest things that I ever saw in the show the Back Alley Street chase was awful but what I really don't like is that their bikes look like motorcycles and that is not part of the Star Wars universe that has no place in the starwars universe and having the young people in it just makes it cringy and I personally think that some of the dialogue is dumbed down I find it very insulting.

The 2 best episodes were the Mandalorian episode and the episode with Luke Skywalker some people say that the CGI was terrible but it didn't bother me at all I personally think they needed the Mandalorian to save this show.

I also must say that I am very disappointed that they killed off Cad Bane bringing him into live action was incredible and I love seeing him but killing him off in a last episode was just disgusting such a great character to die just like that very bad decision I would have liked to see his own series but Disney plus have no idea what they're doing so there you go.

Overall I must say that I really don't understand why Disney plus make the decisions that they do because they clearly don't work yeah they may work for the younger generation but I'm going to be honest and say they don't work for me it seems to me that they're trying to wipe out everything that came before and put their own little spin on it thinking it will work well it doesn't you need to do better.

Cobra Kai (2018–2025)

Seasons 1 to 3 great show but then it fell in line and became woke like everything else.

I was born in the summer of 1985 so grown up as a kid I watched all of the Karate Kid movies from the 80s I practically grew up on them I also had the action figures yes there were action figures for the karate kid back in the day. And when this came around on YouTube I was instantly interested I basically marathons the First season on YouTube and I couldn't wait for the next two seasons which were really good get to Season four and the decline is evident. The writing is very poor and dropped down so many notches, there were so many scenes in which had nothing to do with anything that I had to skip Sam going to see Ayesha at her home skip that and a lot of the woke writing that has become apparent in the show.

Enter be perfectly honest I'm getting kind of sick and tired of the bullying narrative that is going on in this show is becoming so overblown and it makes me think that no side is the winner every dojo and every sensei is evil I have to admit one thing I do like is the fact that they were able to bring back the actor who plays Terry silver he brought back so many memories and I'm glad it he came back he was the only reason why I was watching this season I have to go out and say that this is the lowest season it just seems that this show is built for the new generation which is not a bad thing it's just that the writing that we are accustomed to today day is not inclusive no matter how much it tries to think it is it's not.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)

the ten rings that do nothing.

So finally today it arrived on Disney plus and before work I thought I will give a watch and see if it is that bad and yes it is.

This is the to be honest the woke generation and also the generation a lot more racism, this film has a lot of it and stupid dialogue that makes no sense I don't understand with movies like this the audience is insulted by the moving continuing to tell us that is a Asian film about Asian people. We get it so why?

Anyway the movie has some ok fight scenes but some of the camera work ruins going all around high low and it just makes look bad. Abomination looks horrible a real down grade in CGI. For the me ten rings do nothing for the main character or his father there is nothing special about them they can both fight without the use of them.

The last hour of the film drags so much and is filled with CGI and is complete over the top not in a good way this movie feels completely rushed and because of covid they must have thought they had to but that is no excise the movie suffered greatly.

Overall the downfall of marvel continues.

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

One word offensive.

I say the word offensive because the whole movie is offensive it's offensive to actual filmmakers who make films with passion and who enjoy making movies for their audience. Patty Jenkins needs to realise that this movie is quite frankly disgusting I'm sorry but I have to be honest this movie has no soul no passion no respect for the material. I also think that watching this Gadot quite frankly doesn't care apparently she got paid 10 million for this film clearly all she cares about is the money. How this was able to get a release is again offensive.

And of course we live in 2021 so that means that with a movie like this men are evil and women are strong I have never ever had a problem with women being portrayed as strong but it never seems to be done in the right way it's always done in the way that makes men look bad because apparently were all bad (sarcasm). I honestly think Kristen Wiig deserves better she is the only interesting thing in this film even though her character is bad I actually think now that she should have been Wonder Woman. Now in my lifetime I have seen a lot of bad movies some of them Mr quite bad but are rather good in s sense nostalgia as it were.

I hope to god that Jenkins learn from her mistake seeing as she's going to be making a Star Wars film but Star Wars has been ruined so it might be too late I honestly think she needs to go back to film school or maybe do something else because if she continues to do movies like this her career will fail.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021)

You could have written something that was a little more equal.

I grew up watching in Masters of the Universe and having all the action figures so I would say that I am I old school fan. When I heard that Kevin Smith was making a new animated series I was excited along with a lot of others. Saw the trailer and thought it was quite impressive but then I began to see that the show wasn't very equal and what I mean by that is is I think the show Focuses on women being strong which is fine I would love to see women at the forefront written with interesting stories but yet again what we seem to do is is put women at the forefront and then the disrespect men which I don't really understand why we're still doing this of course men disrespect women but we still in this nitpicky world we have to to show that we're strong and we have to put others down in order to do that I think this is unacceptable which is quite funny because today it's acceptable to do that which it isn't on both sides I was really hoping that maybe they could have came to a compromise and written the show with equal parts He-Man and equal parts Leela but it seems to me that neither side is willing to compromise on this we have to do better.

I really enjoyed the animation did have an 80s vibe to it but I must say that being honest I don't think that the women needed to be over muscular even He-Man is a little bit over muscular it's kind of off putting and I must say that Mark Hamill isn't really doing anything new he just sounds like the Joker as Skeletor his vocal talents don't have that much range being honest.

Overall all I think this is an OK show I don't think it's great by any means and I think Kevin Smith shouldn't have done this project if he was not a He-Man fan which he has quoted her as saying you must have realised that he was going to get a lot of fan hate from the old-school fans I hope that if they do get a season 2 to maybe he man will show up a lot more and that's not to disrespect any of the female characters it's just a lot of the old-school fans like He-Man and are inspired by him and I know that a lot of people are going to be inspired by the female characters to which is great it should be like that but it should be done on an equal basis the time from mudslinging should be gone on hopefully it changes for the better.

Zombieland: Double Tap (2019)

Had the protentional to be a great sequel but fails due to woke dialogue.

I never really had plans to watch this saw the trailer back in 2019 and it just wasn't really interesting so I let it pass for a while. I then saw it on my sky tv and thought why not it's lockdown times what's the worst that could happen. Well quite a lot as it happens, I thought the film was ok in parts with the zombies and stuff and some of the jokes are funny but with everything now a days creativity is stunted by pleasing everyone and ticking the boxes which is a real shame.

I found some of the dialogue just completely stupid and again ticking the boxes so as not to offend anyone or everyone. I also thought 1 hour 45 mins was a little short should have pushed it to around two hours maybe that would've made it worse who knows what I do know is the movie was made ten years to late and didn't really need to happen.

Gotham (2014–2019)

An original story but not quite the dark knight

So that is it Gotham has to come to an end and I have to say that it was an ok series portraying some the villains of Gotham and Bruce Wayne as he becomes the dark knight though I have to say in my honest opinion I think Fox were never going to go down this route of bringing batman into the fold I think and believe that because fans demanding and complaining that it wasn't about batman they gave in that is how the final made me feel they seemed wrap things up so quickly without giving a chance to take it in and the season 5 final was very disappointing and the last shot of Batman was very cringe in my opinion.

Finally saw this today had been waiting ages and I thought it was great a hell of a ride and whole lot of fun and most important doesn't take itself seriously which I really like more superhero movies should learn to do this. I also think people should appreciate that it is a Russian made film and has Russian subtitles people always complain about it but in all honestly they are just very lazy to sit and read open your mind and show some respect.

Deadpool (2016)

So finally seen the movie i have been waiting ages to see i was first was introduced to Deadpool around 4 or 5 years ago by my older brother I read a few comics over the years and i was hooked and he is my second favourite marvel hero first being Wolverine but I will say that in movie form Deadpool comes first he would probably say that to ha ha.

On to the movie I found it very well executed I loved the opening credits simply because it's all about tongue and cheek and not taking it seriously the action sequences were really great to watch really over the top same goes for the jokes I couldn't stop laughing the bit with the hand growing back had me nearly in tears with laughter and the ORGINS WOLVERINE toy was a nice touch.

I will say though that the story was a bit lacking and the villain was done poorly but not to enough to spoil the movie.

The introduction of Colossus and warhead was great I liked the new version of Colossus really looks from the comics

I would say this anyone who does not know the character and wants to see this movie go and research on him and then see how you feel about going to see the movie and always go with an open mind.

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)

Finally saw the force awakens and it was brilliant from music to great action set pieces Abrams has really captured the kid inside us all who grew up watching the originals he was really able to give his vision of how it should be and in all honesty he has taken the SW universe to places Lucas never could no disrespect intended to Lucas. I will say that all performances were great Ford and Fisher included and there was a great sense of humour in this which was a lovely surprise I think Adam Driver did a stand out job as Kylo Ren he brought a great sense of fear and horror to his character.

but it isn't without it's flaws one being Captain Phasma she was built up in the trailers to be a formidable character but she does nothing in the movie she is a throw away character which is disappointing also snoke was a wasted CGI character and him being so big was dumb and the yellow CGI character with the big glasses was really silly would of preferred it being practical.

But overall i will say that it is still a great film and a must watch for any SW fan.

Ant-Man (2015)

Enjoyable,funny but weak villain yet again.

In the beginning when i was growing up i knew of Ant man and was never really sold on the character and him able to shrink wasn't something i liked as a power. Thirty years on and the trailer hits and for some reason i got interested so interested i went to my local comic shop and bought some comics and I am so glad i did because I realised that he really cool.

Now on to the movie I found really enjoyable and very funny the chemistry worked really well with all the cast involved, I will say though that the villain of the piece was a big let down it went down the lines of same old story.

The effects where pretty cool to and all the ants was awesome.

I will say also that I would of loved to have seen what Edger Wright version would been like but it is also good that he wrote this.

Overall the movie is great fun and a great laugh.

The Avengers (2012)

I to be honest and say when the movie came out it was going to be a hit but now every time I watch it I see things that are so wrong with it like for example Thor is a GOD! Which makes him practically invincible so that fight he has with iron man in the woods is redundant and makes no sense Thor would destroy him only hulk could fight him because hulk is god like hawkeye and black widow serve no purpose in this film Loki is done very campy in this when he should very dark destructive every time i see him I laugh and think how stupid you are Hulk was OK I found the CGI OK at times but some of it was down right awful iron man was cool funny as usual captain America was boring to watch the plot of the film is laughable and makes no sense.

Overall if you 13 year old kid you'll love it because you nothing better to do but as you get older I'm pretty sure you'll the same as I do just give it time.

Man of Steel (2013)

Saw this ages ago its being released tomorrow on Bluray I have not got round to reviewing it yet so here I go I thought this movie was a great improvement over the first outing by Singer and honestly this is the movie I wanted the first time but I am going to be honest here and say Singer messed it up the first time but Znider did mess a few things as well

First his parents in my mind were done completely wrong Jonathan Kent played by Kevin Cosier the character played with a sort dark intention because he says you should let the passengers die on the bus so not to find out who he is this to me was a hell no in the comics and other movies he is played as gentle man who would say things or let innocent people die znider obviously wanted to make the movie kind of dark with this sorry Znider it didn't work.

secondly Clark Kent being from another planet was revealed backwards by that I mean nobody knows that his from another planet he exits among the human race in secret hence the glasses and the dorkyness finding out during the film kind spoils the movie and the ending because by the end he becomes the dorky Clark but louis Lane already knows who he is which is another thing that does not work here

Lets go on to some positives of the film

Action in this is great and over the top and what is really meant to be like in my personal I believe that Znider was heavily influenced by the anime cartoon Dragon Ball z if you have not seen it go on you tube and check it out you will know what I mean flying crashing through builders at fast speeds I would say though me being honest that it does become a bit boring though

overall I think it is a enjoyable watch and personally much better than Singers rubbish.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013– )

So finally bought this on blu ray and told myself to give it a chance I am glad I did but I still feel that the first five episodes are irrelevant are sort of filler in my opinion having already seen them I went straight to episode 6 onwards and it really began to open my mind the story were exciting the gadgets were cool along with the two best characters in the show fitz and Simmons honesty they were the reason I kept going they brought some real chemistry towards the show I thought Wards reveal was cool didn't expect it May started off I could not stand her but in time began to warm to her and could not wait for her to kick Wards butt but there still were characters that I just could not get behind Skye she is just boring to watch and her being the centre storyline it didn't and doesn't work for me J August Richards was just awful he seemed to be over acting quite a bit in my opinion not really believable Bill Paxton being blow up at the end was one of the funniest things I saw Samuel L Jackson is as always a horrible nick fury and Raina was just infuriating to to watch that being said go into it with an open mind and you will see a lot good like I did.

The Wolverine (2013)

Good beginning in Japan but insulting ending.

Finally today was the day the Wolverine came out I had been waiting since the first trailer back in March or April out of all the comic book movies that have come out this was the one i most waiting for and here is what I thought.

The look of the movie was fine when he was in japan they really captured the essence and authentic feel of the country it didn't feel like it was manufactured by the studio. As well the location gave it a some what darker tone and more serious look which made it more interesting to watch the action set pieces were OK i feel watching it that the character of wolverine in this movie was more able to fight and looked more like a man who could fight in the other movies the fight sequences to me were horrible and looked like a mess where as in this movie they were well thought out.

The character of Wolverine was a little better but very much the same Jackmen clearly worked extremely hard in the gym this time round he did a great job as he always does.

the girl with the red hair was fine along with his love interest fine.

Viper was horrible villain and horribly portrayed by the actress whoever she is.

jean grey why was she in this in the first place she serves no purpose at all.

and finally Wolverine vs silver samurai robot was just plain insulting to see dumbing down like that when it came really close to being a really great film they do this it's disgusting Marvel should be ashamed.

Pacific Rim (2013)

Great movie that delivers great action heart and soul.

Saw this movie yesterday and came away with a feeling that finally a movie like this has been made in the right way because this movie was inspired by the anime mecca movies and cartoons and I think that Del toro did his research very well as he always does in bringing this type of movie to life. I think one of the things that struck me about this movie deeply was the fact the robots was controlled by humans which to me gave the robots purpose and drive you feel for the robots because they are manned by humans there was never a point were during the movie the action lacked because as i said before Del toro thought very carefully about what he wanted to show in regards to action story and detail to me he is a director who takes great pride in what he does and he wants it done in the right way and I respect that greatly.

I would just like to say to all the people who are comparing it to transformers that is fine and your opinion but they are only similar because they are giant robots and that is it in my opinion Michael Bay needs to take notes respect his craft because he from what he has given with transformers has really make it look very all money no heart and that is not what it is about.

I went to see the last stand I have to say that I was impressed with it all the only thing I would say that let it down a little was the poor villain but other than that a very good watch. I have to say that Arnie's return was great just like old times when I was a kid watching terminator for the first time that movie for me was the Arnie starting point from then on he was an idol to me and still is to this day. I really enjoyed Arnies performance in this because it was more character driven rather than just lets go shoot something even though that happens in the last part of the movie his character motivation for doing so is warranted overall I am really pleased that he has returned and keeps on entertaining for a long time to come well done Arnold.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

A great end to a great trilogy.

First off I want to say all haters out there stop hating because you should realise that you sound very silly. I think that this is the most anticipated movie of 2012 as soon as I saw the trailer I was so ready to see and now that I have it blew me away literally everyone in this movie gave perfect performances Anne Hathaway as cat woman she brought a new attitude to the character that hasn't been seen before Joseph Gordon Levitt was a new edition to the film and he was great to watch Gary Oldman as always gave a great performance as Jim Gordon Christian Bale as Batman was fantastic i found that there was a much more deeper character drive by Bale one of hurt and suffering and retirement And finally another new comer Tom Hardy as Bane really got a sense of terror but surprising emotion I felt after watching that there were many sides to Bane I really loved how his back story was explained and also how everything came together to conclude the final instalment of this great trilogy.

I have all the seasons up to season 4 and I want to get the last one because I want to complete it I have finished Buffy which I really enjoyed the final episode was good back to angel I really like this show a lot but there is a lot of it that really annoys me one of the biggest is Cordelia any story lines that she has is just plain boring she is not interesting what so ever it would of been better to give more to Fred's character she has depth and is interesting to watch another annoying character is Connor he is a real pain in this show it's like he's angry with angel then he ins't angry with angel dumb the whole last season i watched season 4 was so god dam boring because it just had things in it that were just plain stupid Connor and Cordie making love was to me disturbing even though it showed nothing the thought of it was horrible overall season 4 of angel really sucks but is bearable.

Highlander (1986)

I remember when I was a kid in the 80's growing up my dad had gone out shopping and when he came back he came back with a brown bag and it had to old VHS videos one was The Terminator and the other was Highlander didn't really know at the time what to think of or what affect it would have on me in later life. Some years ago they rereleased it on DVD the immortal edition they called it DVD steelbook I watched it yesterday funny enough and every single time I watch this film it just captures me in a way it did all those years ago I love the story struggle pain love loss and good vs evil and how good prevails over evil I love the bits in Scotland me being from Scotland Glasgow to be specific always makes me proud to be Scottish also the acting is awesome connnory is just amazing in this film and Lambert at the time i didn't know who he was but I can say that no one can replace him he is iconic in this role and Brown as the bad guy at the time scared the hell out of me and he stills does to this day when I watched that is how good he is in this film. The music for me is also iconic by Queen every bit of music fits perfectly and emotionally. Overall this movie will stay with me until the day I die and in the words of Connor Mclaoude "There can be only one"

Drive (I) (2011)

Just come back from seeing this film with my brother and I have to say in one word AWESOME from start to finish, to me it was shot beautifully I think I remember saying during the film very smoothly shot it gave me the sense that i watching a 80's film classic the opening minuets of the film are just plain great no dialogue just the smooth driving oh I said it again of the lead character. One thing that to me makes the movie stand out is the music it works completely throughout the whole of the film giving it a sort of motivational feel but keeping with the 80's theme.

My last words are this is how a movie should be made so all though directors who think that they are great filmmakers really need to watch this film and learn something or just not bother being a director.

Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

Good but good is not enough.

I saw Captain America the first avenger yesterday and I have to say that it was not good enough in my eyes. It started off really good I really got the sense of the 1940's but that was all it was just something to look at nothing else. One of the things i found very boring and also needed to be shorted or taken out was the part where captain America was promoting war bonds and rallying up the troops in the old costume it went on for far to long and I was sitting there thinking can we get to the next bit. Another part I found really underused was the bike chase scene I feel that he should of used his shield to take them out it would of been quick but it would of also been entertaining to watch. The characters were also a let down extremely but the worst was the red skull didn't find at all evil or menacing what so ever he cared to much about world domination and less on crushing captain America and the hydra which made no sense. But the worst part of the entire film was the final where Steve rogers wakes up in the modern age but we don't know what year because they do not specify anytime in the film besides the 1940's and the the avengers tie in was just ridiculous and rushed it seemed like they just wanted it out the way and it was like they were saying to us the avengers is coming dumb and stupid.

X: First Class (2011)

I have just come back from watching X men First class a couple of hours ago and I have to say it has left me quite angry simply because this movie made to many references to the first x men movie when it clearly shouldn't of. Firstly Raven aka Mystique and professor X know each other in this movie which I was fine about it was a good portrayal of a relationship but when she goes with Eric at the end of the movie we are supposed to think that it leads into the first x men film which if does not because they do not know each other in the movie and that does not make sense. Another thing that I noticed and did not like with a passion was the fact that professor x did not create cerebro which we are lead to believe in x men Hank Mccoy is the creator which again is fine but does not make sense. Big mistake which got me so angry was the wolverine cameo which was plain stupid did not serve a purpose in the movie i think it was there purely for fan demand. I have to say that both main actors were great playing the characters very believable. The most to blame for the failure in Marvel themselves because they are not giving the director any creativity to make a good film it seems to me that marvel has all the say and that is final i really do hope that Marvel are prepared to change there ways in the future and not just do it for the money which clearly this movie shows.

Scream 4 (2011)

Just came back from seeing scream 4 and I have to say that it is the worst one people thought that scream 3 was bad but at least it ended it in a good way this movie annoyed me and I have to say that I was very bored waiting for the for things to happen and when they did it just angered me even more. I thought when I saw that they were making this months ago I thought they were turn the franchise on it's head and come up with something new imaginative but frankly i don't believe they really cared about anything,fans or even the actors themselves I think it was simply a money maker. I think that if they make another one which I have heard they really really give it to someone else to see what they do with it because if that happens then it will be fresh and new. Also i have something about the dialogue what

was that all about not giving any hints but just annoying. Oh well there's always Thor to look forward to.

Tron: Legacy (2010)

Great sound, Great music, Great film

Just came back from the IMAX first time going there and I saw Tron Legacy 3D a Christmas present for my brother and I just have to say wow amazing being a fan of the original I was really looking forward to see what they could come up with and I was very impressed with everything the sound was great it really fitted the film and the music amazing I take my hat to daft punk the music they created for the film really gave it life and again it fitted it really well the effects were so good because to me they were used in the right way not overblown like most and the 3D element was used properly and not stupidly there was real depth in some of the scenes but honesty the thing that I took away from it was that it had a sense of the original film in it which I really took to heart and I just want to say well done to the director you have made a big fan very happy.
