Gangs of New York (2002)
Disappointment.
I waited to see this movie on DVD so that any unanswered questions I may have about the movie would be answered by the "Special Features". Sadly, I didn't even waste my time watching the "Special Features" because the "Main Feature" was already waste of time enough. The only question I was left with was "Why did I just spend nearly three hours inside on a sunny Sunday afternoon watching THAT?" Honestly, there are admirable parts of the film (notably Daniel Day-Lewis' over-the-top, near-comic portrayal of Bill "The Butcher" Cutting, the art design, costumes, etc.), but only ONE large fight scene at the BEGINNING of the movie? And an anti-climactic ending? I wouldn't watch it again.
Breaker! Breaker! (1977)
Worst movie ever.
If this movie isn't a career ender, I don't know what is. "Breaker!Breaker!" is laughable at best, but even then, the viewers are left with very few things to laugh at. There is no story line. There is no plot. There is no reason why this movie shouldn't be banished from the earth! The fight scenes are ridiculous (which is uncommon for a Chuck Norris film... I mean, the man worked with BRUCE LEE!). There is one big fight scene that, at some point, gives off a definite homo-erotic-70's-porno "vibe". Not the kind of thing one would expect from Chuck Norris. I commend him for having risen out of the ashes of this heap of trash to become the "Walker: Texas Ranger" that we all know and love today.
