The Wonder Years: Goodbye (1990)
Huge impact, sad, encouraging and tragic at the same time.
One of my favorite episodes of any tv show ever. I'm very willing to admit that my 55 year old eyes cried more than my 20 something eyes did back in the day this came out. Anytime I think of Wonder Years, this episode is always at top. The relationship between student and teacher couldn't have been more touching and yet relatable and appropriate. Do we still have teachers like this in the world out there these day? I suppose there may be, but I'll bet there are far too few. Mr. Collins was about as perfect as a teacher could get. This was just perfect writing when it comes to TV which seems non-existent today and even back then.
Jurassic Park III (2001)
Entertaining and fun.
Fun quick movie. Of course its not as good as the original and about as good as the second and far better than any of the "world" movies or the junk afterwards. Far fetched? Of course it is. They all are, but this one is a lot of fun and kind of a popcorn monster movie. I'll watch the first 3 of these again and would never watch the rest in the series. Certainly better than the third installment of many other movie franchises. The one that came out in 22 or so was so convoluted and ridiculous and not even watchable and the others after this one were so bland I don't even remember them. Watch it for fun and its a good 7 or 8 out of ten.
Gone (2002)
Maybe a good message.....
But this scattered and terribly acted movie was just awful. I don't get any of the good reviews. This was not thrilling and not even close to a good movie. I gave it 3 stars for an OK message that really didn't get told in a creative way. I don't think I've ever seen a movie with acting this bad. The story is just really jumbled and not cohesive at all. I hope someone else can put together a movie with the message that is entertaining and fun to watch. Just a waste of time.
