Finally it's happend a great Belgian movie thats equal to expensive Hollywood productions. SCIENCE FICTION is a children's movie but it looks like a grown up movie, this is Danny Deprez his second movie as a director. The story is about a young boy that frequently has to move from country to country. He only knows that his parents they're job has something to do with micro biology. After eavesdropping on them he is convinced that they are aliens from another planet. Or is this just childlike imagination?

You probably saw some previous Cronenberg movies like the fly(1986), the dead zone(1983)crash(1996) or exitenz(1999)and they are nothing to compare with his new master piece SPIDER. This movie is about a mentally ill guy who takes you on a journey in to his past as a child. And trough te movie you'll get to know how he became what he is now. Ralph Fiennes who plays spider establishes a great performance so great that you think he is actually the real man. Cronenberg made the film sober but very touching. Sam Mendez has now a worthy competitor at the next Oscar ceremony
