50 First Dates (2004)
fun loving romantic comedy
I went to see this film because i knew Sean Astin was in it I am a very big fan of his. I wasn't expecting anything great but i was greatly suprised its a very wity film with some original jokes and i was laughing all the way through. Sean's charcater Doug was very wity especially with his muscle obsession. Some very funny scenes i.e with the walrus and in the hospital (10 second Tom). Drew Barrymore wasn't playing a cheesy character she actually seemed real. It is a fun loving romantic comedy which will have you wetting your seats. If you haven't seen it for reasons like its cheesy or dont like certain actors in it please go you'll be pleasantly suprised!
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
WOW
Well what can i say except WOW! Peter Jackson surely made us wait for the best, last. I dont know exactly what to write because i am speechless about this movie so far i've seen it 3 times at the cinema and feel i should now wait for the DVD release to see it again. I cried so much at the end from when Saroun is defeated till the end of the film! Sean Astin is outstanding in this film he really put his all into Sam aswell as Elijah as Frodo who really makes us feel for his tortured soul. And the rest of the cast were all great too, best cast line up i've seen in a film, well ever as far as i'm concerned. I also love the little hobbits Merry (Dom) and Pip (Billy) you made me laugh and cry so many times with your hobbit antics. The perfect fantasy world is middle-earth! And the magic lives on thanks to Jackson and Tolkein! and the elves, dwarves, hobbits, wizards and man.
Where the Day Takes You (1992)
Sean Astin making us feel
Moving film with issues that people who have been in the same situations will be able to relate to. Sean Astin(Greg) was really good in this film he played his part well and you feel for him and try to understand how it must feel living life the way they all do on the streets. Great cast line-up and it was good to see Will Smith in there. All the characters seemed real not just movie stars playing homeless kids.
