Dream Home Makeover (2020)
No Real Design Here
Don't bother if you actually are interested in interior design. This show - infomercial really - is just part of their self-produced social media genius. The makeovers are just a 'cut and paste' of what she sees other designers do. Zero personality. White paint, light oak Hallmark floors, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Interior Define, Restoration Hardware, LoLoi rugs. . . Charcoal, Navy, Swiss Coffee, Hunter Green, add a huge vase of greenery, wash rinse repeat. There is no passion; she doesn't explain design choices with even basic designer terminology. Just impersonating an actual interior designer. This content belongs on Instagram not a Netflix program.
The Midnight Sky (2020)
Watch at home so you can fast forward
Unbelievably slow moving. Kept waiting for something interesting to happen and insight into the characters and relationships. So lacking in a solid development of a story line that you don't even care what's going to happen to anyone.
Granite Flats (2013)
perfect for Sunday Afternoons
This show is nostalgic, family friendly, very well acted, and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. My family looks forward to this each week. The story line of children appeals to young audiences, and if you grew up in the 60's you'll recognize the chalk boards and rows of wooden desks. Adult viewers will understand the deeper influences of the period of time: Government influences and suspicions. Women being obedient to their male bosses. The struggles of single parents and unwed women. etc. There is also some humor infused into the realistic characters. You will be taken in by the retro feeling, the mellow but interesting story line, and the overall charm of Granite Flats.
